Honestly, do you not read any of the comments after you post this every couple of days.
1) there was no one else so the is no "despite them"
2) they have made the company a business that can survive with admin or selling players
3) they have created a way to 'furnish' the debt

For, me on the playing side, it would be my number one priority, but maybe see if he would be interested in moving to his previous role he had with the kids.

Let’s face it no sporting organisation tells the coach they are on borrowed time before the final few games of the season.

On the other hand Mash would have to be deluded if he thinks he is getting an extension.

Part of me wants it to happen just to see the reaction. It would be better than an Eastenders dom dom dom moment.

I’d be happy for him to step into an assistant role with long and an experienced coach come in like Powell.

He is still young in his coaching tenure and although this year hasn’t gone great for a number of combining factors it Apelgarth himself I would imagine will become stronger for it. Even from a bad experience you can learn if you have the right attitude.

Long is definitely contracted for next season. Nothing to do with Ellis this was a decision made by our BOD.
If Ellis doesn't want him, then it will cost to end his contract.

Surely he had some say. If MC is handing out contracts for next year at this stage without Ellis' input then something must be wrong.

I see he believes he is the right man to guide the club next season.

Ellis is on the advisory board so is across all those decisions.

I believe that he must be half decent coach ,just not had the players for the season to do him justice. My thinking for this that a poor coach is soon hou ded out by the players and they stop putting effort in. From what I see is that the effort has been there just not the availability or speed. I will go against the grain here and if he stays on will do a good job.

I guess once Matthew Ellis is in control we will hand over our season ticket money and he'll do what he sees fit.

Are you sure season tickets for next season are available ? I haven't seen any offers and technically we still don't which division we will be in.

We can't know what the price for tickets will be or how many games there are yet.

I though one of the schemes mentioned a season ticket for next year. The problem is that if so it will be based on SL pricing not the Championship.

You know full well they're going to hike the price up for the championship season ticket to counter all of the people who won't renew and the significantly reduced gates for each game

I am sorry but he failed to get the team motivated for the two games that could have saved us. These were Castleford and Catalan at home. He could not do it so should forfeit being considered for our championship season. He was given way longer than any coach could expect and still did not take the opportunities.
His record currently is 4 wins out of 25 which is appalling at any level.

reckon we'll go for about £250 as will the some above.

If Ellis takes over I think we'll go for less.
Getting the 3k is important. No point having slightly more money and less numbers if we can afford it.

I've just been looking at our average crowd for 1996 it says we averaged around 2100 with one crowd 1300 and one 1400, in the 80s we averaged about 2000 in the championship and that was winter. Its a big ask is 3000 after this season, so if we've any hope of it we must get the coach right, the squad right and above all playing decent stuff, otherwise it could be an uphill struggle

Need to be careful on season ticket prices, we've had reduced, slashed even, season tickets, and have been stung badly.

Maybe keep them as they are, or similar, but with an early bird offer for say a month at 25% off, then the following month at 15%, and from then on the full price.
