I don't want to get too excited,because this is Trin we are talking about, but that was pretty impressive.Agree with other posters about how our defence has been improving massively and today it was exceptional,along with a great attacking display.Not knocking the players for a second, but is it just me,or did anyone else notice that our intensity dipped slightly when Westerman went off injured?(he certainly seems to be a big driving force).Or perhaps it was just coincidence, with tiredness setting in a little with all the tackling we had to do early on and also a man down for 10 minutes.

Having read all the hype about the Giants being the real deal this season I wasn't confident about a win today. Sat in the east stand prior to kick off, when the teams were read out our subs were Fifita, Battye, Pitts and Wood which was a stronger bench than the Giants and must have been our strongest bench for some time. With Tommy Johnstone due back any time soon hopefully we have turned our season round and more of the same please.

All we’ve ever lacked is confidence and we look like we’ve put that to bed today , and the thing that most clubs struggle with and that’s consistency.stood down the far end of the west terrace today and you could see how relaxed the players were talking to their wife’s and children whilst warming up on the touch line . Fitita even had time for a joke with my son when he told him he was in his dream team and to get a couple of tries to boost his points . The whole team oozed confidence and we’re relaxed and enjoying themselves today ,a good day at the office I’d say .

We always had the skills, it was just sat on the treatment bench.
Once we got a near full team out and Walker filling the hooking role like an experienced pro, we could show what we have.

Yeah including the chairman & coach who said those things?! It just shows how badly we were underachieving, this is the best squad we have had for a very long time, and if we don't win between 10-12 games, that would be unacceptable. Against a good team, that was as good a first half as I've seen for quite some time, and if we don't kick on now for the rest of the season, then we never will. I really didn't think Tupou would come back to that kind of form again, but i'm so pleased he has. It was so hard to pick a mom today, probably 6 or 7 contenders, but it probably was Lino's best game, so i'd go with him, well played and keep it going!

Totally blown away by the performance today. Talking to others we were trying to see just what had brought about the change. For me the crowd back is a massive boost as well as injured players returning. Milky especially for me has been excellent. Today we stopped a very good team from playing their game while at the same time playing ours so very well. Long may it continue and I can't wait for next Sunday.

So the first 3 or 4 games, Miller, Tupou, Ashurst, Arona, Fifita played like they have the last 2 games?! Sorry, can't agree with that.

Chester said e took him off as a precaution, tbh so far for me westerman,has been our best forward all season and now rest of pack are gaining some dominance his efforts have been rewarded. Wouldn’t argue with Miller last week or Lino today but personally would have given him mom both weeks.

Hrs looked particularly effective at second receiver, carrying it in as an extra prop or distributing like a stand off, reminds me of the form he had when he was a big money signing from cas to hull

Think after the last two matches apart from T J this is our strongest 17 .We look like a team that is well drilled in attack and defence The ball movement as improved 100% .No we will not be a Wires ,St, or Wigan but think with a performance like this ,we could finish well clear of relegation

Whilst that’s true we are now playing at home in front of a crowd against lower or mid table teams it’s a funny game but today we played with confidence and with a little more luck could easily have scored 60

After a game like that what can one say. That try that started in the north-west corner by Kershaw and ended up being touched down by LK in the south-east corner was out of this world. Lino's best game yet and Battye was on top form. I wonder how much of that performance was down to Woody being back in the side. We need to double that 38 next week lads, and really rub it in. Great stuff!!!

Westerman has been outstanding for us, an excellent ball playing 13. I’ll be gutted if he goes to Cas as reported. Big boots to fill if he leaves. Never thought I’d be saying that when he first signed!

I kept my eyes on both our wingers today and I don't recall a time when they weren't marking their opposite number man to man. Not one overlap seemed to be created for their wingers.

Just goes to show you still need the old heads to guide you round the park and steady the ship alongside the youngsters with their energy and drive and enthusiasm. Think we’ve got a good mix with some good youngsters as well on the fringe waiting their chance .

I said exactly the same...every time Shudds swung it wide there was NO overlap...keep the wingers on the wing marking their opposite number and you stand a far better chance of stopping a try !!

A few times we were 1 short on our left, but LK had a good read on the centre every time and shut him down with Tash coming from his tackle to cover if needed, thought he and Bill worked really well to cut the supply.

He's just played 8 or 9 out of 10 every game, and now he's dragged the rest up to his standards, and it's showed the last 2. The more experienced in the group needed to get back to their level of 3, 4 years ago, and they have so let's hope they keep it up!

Having said that, just wastched the Lino try and Mcgillvray got outside of LK, Bill was there to cover but he still got the ball to the middle where Lino was waiting - planned all along

We lost players mid game and when he did play Fifita was playing injured.... In fact he still is.
