If you had that amount to spend (i refuse to use the word invest in this context) and you were inclined to spend it on Wakefield why do it now and pay a premium when there is a chance within the next 24 months of picking the club up in NL1 with a realistic proposition of a new stadium on the way and the opportunity to rebuild the club without the artificial and arbitrary pressures brought about by a phoney licencing process.

With regards those in other jobs, I agree you couldn't just get rid of them, but I doubt they know what an annual appraisal is, proper structures in place would measure performance against targets and allow for dismissal of those not producing the necessary level of performance

there may be family mambers who don't want to stay on afterwards but if they did then you have to take into account their performance in any given role, they may be (like it or not) the best person for the job.

look mate, i value your opinions and loyalty but dont ever think you have the nerve to question mine, i have done home and away every bloody week for 20 years and never ever thought we would get to this shambles, and yes in some areas i think i could and would do better.

not giving a damn about the books is beyond stupidity and maybe you, more than some others should be asking questions, i have no vested interest in any financial way if the club survives or falls this year, you i believe may do!

Obviously I dont know the full ins and outs of this give a grand deal the club are trying to get going, I can only go on what I have read on here but it does seem a very poor deal for the people who pay up in my eyes.
The board have said that 2 parties were very interested but once they had given the books a very good inspection they thought better of it. But now they are coming to the fans as what looks to be a last resort and more or less saying if you dont stump up now for the team you love it could be down to you when the team is no more. Not only do they want your money with what will probbably be no return at all but if you asked to look at the books before putting in your hard earned what do you think the answer would be?.
And on one final point how much of a say do you think your grand would get you, I dare say that if this get rich quick scheme does come off and your current board does step down its replacment has already been selected from current share holders.
Please dont take this post as a cas fan trolling, I just think your board wants to get out now before the brown stuff really hits the fan in a few months time and they see the fans as an easy target for their great escape.

And after you've read and studied the books you'd still come to the same conclusion - is WTRLFC worth £1k to me, and can I afford it? If you can't afford it, then it's a dead question, if you can, and you value the game of RL in Wakey, then do you value it enough to part with £1k - spread over 3 years - to keep the name of Wakefield Trinity alive in Wakey. It's not a business decision, if it is then you probably wouldn't do it, it's an emotional / supportive one.

Maybe we should all get a brick for the £1000 would that be a better deal.

Like i said mate not a trolling post, but if you did just buy a brick the board would not be saying to you that they had stuffed up and could go no further so would you like to have a go instead. I just think there is much more to all this than is being said and one thing is why the big rush for the end of this month. Also what happens if the cash is not raised, will the club need to go into addministration ?.
