An Audience With or a meeting with Ted is a very good idea and should be arrange in very quick so that supporters can be brought fully up to date regarding what is happening with the club's finances especiallyas I believe it is no longer neccessary to hold share holders meetings.

I dont want to stick up for TRB because he is more than capable of doing that himself, all the man is doing is trying to do is calm things down and put things into a clearer prospective for those that cannot see the wood for the trees'. Yes we have lost 3 high profile players and only replaced them with 1 allegedly anyway, we only got him because of the circumstances between him and his club otherwise we probably would not have got anyone. In case you hadnt realised we are in towards the middle of the season and good players are not in abundance at the moment. Unlike some on here I do not pretend to be an authority on accountancy but I am sure that there will be money available as an when a good player/players' become available till then why spend money on any Tom Dick or Harry just for the sake of spending, or alternatively we could do what a lot of people on here are clambering for and that is give a couple of the young uns a go until better opportunities present themselves.

i agree but not only must the player want to come to us we need him to WANT to stay also..as for westgate, if you can't pull there then there are always the latex gloves (see the physios for location)

Dont worry he is ill informed and due to the recent share issue there will be every need for an AGM etc which as a share holder you are entitled to attend.

Like a few people have said it isn't as easy as some people think to find a quality player who is not tied to a club,who doesn't want a ton of money and a long contract.All the top players are not available but the few that may be available which looking around means a NRL player which would take time to even get into negotiations and then they must want to come and then for the right price.All us lot would be the first to moan if Kear brought in a NRL player who turned out to be a joke and worse got stuck with said joke for 2 years.
Kear knows we need a couple of players but I think he will be canny about who ever he signs and he will be determined to get the right players to fit in this team for the right price which might take a little longer than we all want.

If they can't pull on Westgate, they aren't making enough of their 'average rugby league player' status - there's a certain type that throws themselves at them!

Personally I think someone like Mike Cooper (who has just returned to Wire) would fit the bill. Obviously we would have to wait for Carvell's injury to heal.
Or possibly Luke Burgess, who isn't in the 1st choice 17 at the Rhino's, but is a young forward, with bags of potential and point to prove.

The more I think about it the more I come to the conclusion that I for one am all in favor of signing no more Aussies after this Tronc situation. Build up what we produce, we have the talent in this country, we just need to show faith & time!

Until a player such as the two I have mentioned comes along I think we need to give a chance to the lads we have, who are working their socks off in the juniors.
