| Quote: Travelling Wilbury "For me, it would be the entire front row.
Fifita - way past his best, and don't think we'll ever see that player we had 2-3 seasons ago, ever again
Arona - again not the same player he was, but I just feel that there are better players out there now. Yes, he has the effort, but you won't win many games on effort alone, and I think now his quota spot could be better used.
Green - not seen him do much in the whole time he's been here, if we had someone coming in to replace him, would happily see him go now.
Battye - looked good at the start, but sadly his performances have tailed off.
Hooking.
Kyle Wood - I think it has been said that this will be his last year. However, if not, although on the way down I think, he's probably still our best option, so I would offer a 1 year extension.
Josh Wood - he can tackle that is for sure, but doesn't seem to offer much go forward. Personally, I would offload.
Kay, Walker, Jordy have all been used there, but I think should only do so as a stop gap.
Alex Walker - not really seen the early hype live up to expectations when on the field. Personally, I would offload, especially now Gaskell has been signed.
Bill Tupou - nowhere near the same player he was and too many wrong options. He has, though, had some wrotten luck with injuries. However I'm going to cut him a bit of slack, and would keep, if the deal was right. Remember, we have Croft and Greensmith
coming through.
TJ/LK/LK/IS - not sure here
If TJ does go chasing the dream, I'd look to replace him, with a player of a proven try scoring record
The other 3 though, do look to have a mistake in them, so I'm not sure on that yet.'"
Until you stop calling Crowthorne Jordan and jowett max they will not be took seriously by proper fans

If they are paying his wages then they’d likely prefer him to be available for themselves rather than us don’t you think? They will need to pay a back up option if he goes so they will only release him and pay a percentage if it is financially beneficial for them to do so. Hetherington is many things, but daft with brass he ain’t.

If true more injured pass it player ,To join Gaskell these 30 + signing must be doing wonders for season tickets. As in !wounder why we are signing all these old injured players when the game is getting faster ,These kind of signings have sent many a team in to the Championship.

| And if he did would he make a difference to out attacking prowess …NO .As much as it pains me to say Leeds are a far better team in every department than us, yet for me Gale doesn’t look as accomplished as he did running out for cas . IMO if monies were available to sign decent players I’d say props and hookers were higher up our shopping list than a half back looking at next season .Are there still player coaches knocking about I wonder ,and am I right in thinking David Hobbs was our last player coach or did I imagine that.

I couldn't disagree more i am afraid. Halfback is exactly where we need to improve. We currently have two headless chickens running around out there. I cant fault either of them for effort, but neither has a ounce of composure nor a good passing or kicking game.
I cant see it happening but yes i would take Gale in a heartbeat.
As for his age, just remember that the last time we looked like a superleague team was when we had Liam Finn at 7.

You could count Adrian Vowles!

| Even 8f Gale can't cut it at SL level, I've said before he may be able to guide our current halves in how to end a set, I'm thinking more about a coaching role. Is Finn still on the coaching staff?

Don't think he is, frankly even now he'd offer more leadership than the rest of the team put together, never been replaced.
Gale will always be able to cut it in SL so long as he's reasonably fit, he's head and shoulders above what we have. Like Finn he doesn't depend on pace, he's got the knowledge and he's also a chippy little sod who loves to win.
I'd take him in a heartbeat but I can't see it happening.

It`s not ridiculous at all, struggling to see why you would think that.

| Apparently Wigan interested in Gale.
Its an interesting one, if he would want to be the king pin I could see it working for the club, the player and his ego.
We certainly need to look at some fresh players at prop hooker and wing.
Could be a new partnership in the halfes.

Because
1 he has far better options than coming to us
2 we can't afford him
3 we already have half backs
4 he hasn't actually left Leeds yet

We don`t know the options he has, from what I hear from his old pal he knocks about Swillington with is he will be leaving Leeds with a year left on his deal and his options right now are 3 SL clubs and a championship club that are really keen on him, that was on the basis they were looking to ship him out even sooner which it seems may now not be the case unless wire let Austin go early, so as long as you see those other 2 clubs as far better options than us then fair play. The old we can`t afford him yet we publicly come out and say we had money in the pot for the likes of Andrew Fifita and were able to offer a big whack to Westy.
