| How old you are means naff all if you ask me. The game isn't what it was in 1960 and never will be.

State of origin push our best? we cant hardly beat the "Exiles" a team made up of has beens and never did - either state of origin team would beat england based on past performances

For what it's worth, I'm with you. Has been steady without cracking any pots in my opinion - done some nice things but done some equally stupid things too. Must admit, I was cheering as loud as anybody when he stuck one on Bailey and the pasty Ginge at Wigan - but agree or not throwing punches will usually land you infront of the beak and spending time in the stands, and on a tight budget like ours we can't afford to have a big salary sat watching through their own actions.
For our marquee signing, former state of origin player I think we should be seeing a bit more from him.
Reckon the imports get an easy ride sometimes from the fans, and there is a certain amount of blinkerednes when it comes to them. I mean, look at people licking their lips at the new lad who we don't even really know what position he plays.....
He hasn't been bad for us by any means, but certain players carry certain expectations and somebody with a pedigree and profile such as his (and presumably a wage packet to match) should be under more scrutiny to deliver than those "lesser" players.

| I'm in the "I think he's done okay" camp but want to see more. I'd love to have a forward who made the immediate impact that Shane Tronc did (only for it not to go sour). Poore is a different type of forward to Tronc but is a big fella.
He needs to keep making the hard yards and show some restraint on the discipline front. A team such as ourselves in the lower half of the table cannot afford to give away needless penalties.

| I just checked and he is very high on the stats for giving penalties away. That surprised me.
He makes very few errors, which is great but he needs to pick up on the penalties.

He is the highest penalty giver in SL but also a very good player. Reminds me a bit of Millington at Tigers - we need to see a bit more from them both IMO.
Does anyone get the impression that these players sometimes take us for a bit of a ride? Seeing "Europe" with their wifes/girlfriends while they get the chance, while they are over here?

Think his wife is English or lived here for a while so maybe not. I do think they still underestimate our game due to the parochial Aussie press. I think the skill levels and intensity of SL is lower but the work rate and fitness required is the same and that's a shock to them.

Not a twitterer myself, so roughly translated am I correct in saying someone (details please) asked him if he was leaving at the end of the season and he confirmed that he is.
If so, it just shows the average contract is about as much use as an wipe.

Hope this is true, he's not a flash player himself but could easily be the bedrock for the foundations of a class pack. I think this pack is easily the best unit we've had for years, and Agar seems to know what needs to be done to improve it.

| Last week Justin took time out to speak with a group of the regions most promising young players, he was inspiring yet frank and grounded about a career as a RL pro. He delivered some of the most relevant and thoughtful advice to the boys in the room that anyone could have imagined.
Richard Mathers was very much the same which was no suprise to me as I've seen him do it before with organised groups as well as unselfishly spending his own time to help individuals on the spur of the moment.

| Well for me he has just had his best games at home Catalans and Wigan and set the tempo from the off in both games and that had the rest giving it a good go.For me I would like him to stay as Im sure after his first year here he would be well settled in and we could see with the rest of the forwards we have now a pack that can match any side.

| At the Audience With at Carlton Agar rubbished talk of Justin leaving and said that we were looking to extend his contract. If that is also what Justin says then I think we should accept that and let this go.
As a player I feel that Justin in top notch. He's big, tough, hard working, hits hard, makes metres and draws tacklers in - that's his job as I understand it. He also seems like an intelligent, well-rounded person.

| Justin Poore had a great game against Wigan, not afraid to mix it with their pack or any pack I've seen so far.
I see him as the cornerstone of the pack, hopefully for quite a while. He likes to go where it hurts and that's what you need - an example for the younger players.
Hopefully the penalties will diminish but after the last game he has gone up in my estimation.

| He takes a large amount of sting out of the opposition defense.
I'm certain the others find it easier being number 2 drive when he took number one.
I also like the fact that Agar is building a team of intelligent players. Sometimes you need a group that will run through brick walls but its good to have thinkers too.
With Poore, Time Smith, Mathers, Ali, Aition you have some clever guys. I'm sure others I haven't met are the same. I think it makes a difference to the team.

| Interesting piece about him on Boots n All last night; he seems genuinely upset at the reputation he seems to have developed over here for being a tough guy. Boxing Day was the first sending off of his career!
The footage of the Farrell incident was shown again and reminded me what a ridiculous sending off that was - Farrell had his way with Justin for a sustained period before he retaliated - if the ref had dealt with that, he wouldn't have ended up on his backside.

| .............but a great punch. Love watching it.
Without condoning this sort of fisticuffs in any way of course, I love a guy who stands up for himself. No one seemed keen to keep it going.
