Quote MOPSEY LIVES ON="MOPSEY LIVES ON"solutions when you are a small club like us is not to make mistakes in the first place, thoroughly looking at players, making sure they are on par or better than we have, keep a nucleus of local lads who care and not expect them on the cheap and then pay silly money for overseas players who are no.better than we have. Have someone in charge with some forward thinking and the ability to build a side to create interest in.the team and club.we had chances to build a side under chester and went the wrong way, Danny Brough for example and quoted as the final piece of the jigsaw, he'd been a great sl player but his legs had gone but we still sign him.'"
Easy to point out signings that didn't work after the fact.
And as said, without stating who you'd rather have had,, who was available it doesn't show any special knowledge.
Miller who you say we shouldn't have let go didn't exactly turn Cas into world beaters, even with an international halfback partner. If we'd kept him. I'm certain he'd have been on your list.
So yes. Some signings haven't worked and have really cost us. But that doesn't mean they don't care or are planning relegation as suggested on here by some.
The injuries to Jowitt, Murphy, Tanginoa have been massive for us.
None of it is fun for us but I reckon it's incredibly stressful for them.
And they've tried as best they can to get some loan players in, even though some clubs don't want to help. We'll see if the stand off can get us ticking.
So I think they are trying within the constraints they have.
If something happens and we win some of the home games in June I'll be overjoyed.
If we go down I'll be really sad but still watch and hope the current group are still there doing their best.....with additional staff and additional income from the stadium.
