Bit of a weird one, usually someone finds out who's got a knock, does seem strange after a 2 week break, although I wouldn't rule out one of them playing. England wasn't in the squad for Saints and he ended up playing so you never know. Good to see Miller back, would assume he'll be on the bench, will be interesting if Randell comes next week, given Chester likes his bench full of forwards, will he drop Williams completely for the Leeds game??

Will he drop Grix for the Leeds game as well.

This is a huge miss for us.
Probably our most effective 2 forwards and as others have said, 2 weeks usually means that all but the most serious injuries can be rested sufficiently to allow players to make the game.
Also, Fifita has frightened the Giants to death in the last couple of meetings and they will be delighted to avoid tackling him.
Let's hope it's a bit of cunning on Chester's part and that one or both of them will make it.



Huddersfield, although they have been playing pretty well of late are the lowest ranked club in the Super 8's and if we have any aspirations of making the top 4, we simply have to win, as do Huddersfield.

Bit of an interesting one - as if as you would expect miller comes in then it would suggest that if we go with a back then probably arundel and hadley to miss out

Hadley is a tackling machine , cant see him missing out, plus he plays long minutes. Think Huby and Fifita missing out will make Hudds favorites with the bookies.

Hadley would be one of the 1st names on the team sheet IMHO. Him and Arona are machine like. Either would only be missing if injured.

I honestly don't get why you think we will beat Hudds easily, I think there is a very good chance they will thrash us - with or without Fifita.

Where did i say we will beat them easily? Answer is i didn't but i still think that despite the 2 missing forwards we have enough to get the result, especially given Huddersfield are missing Mamo, Murphy and a whole host of backrowers. I reckon the spark that Miller returning could give us might just make the difference. At least i hope so!

I think Fifita is one of those players who will always carry a bit of weight and its fitness rather than his weight that counts. Having said that I'd always include him as he makes a huge difference when he's on the pitch.
Not sure with Chubbs though. We played you in the pre season friendly and most players have had injuries fixed up in the close season. Couldn't believe the amount of strapping that Huby had on. Elbows, wrists, and fingers. Things can only get worse when the season starts.

Huby has played virtually every game this season and been very good. Don't feed the trolls.

If you were a Giants fan (currently in 8th place) and you lose your first fixture of 7, then there is a realistic chance that you will finish 8th.
If you are a Trinity fan (currently in 5th place) and you lose your first fixture of 7, then there is a realistic chance that you will still finish higher than 8th.
The combinations of points distribution are relatively limited. For one team to win, another has to lose.
Only one team can win all their games and only one can lose all theirs.
Even in the most pessimistic view of Wakefield not winning any games, finishing 8th is still not that likely.
If Huddersfield win they still need to beat another 2 teams to finish above us. Who will that be?
It's not impossible for us to finish bottom, and we usually flatter to deceive, but it's less than likely.

Huby has been one of our best in my opinion.
He's often the one that gets things going again when we've lost momentum in both defense and attack.

I agree, over the season I think he has been our 3rd best middle player behind Fifita and Arona although I have been impressed with Adam Walker as well.

All that strapping chubbs as you affectionately call him was what he brought with him from shudds and had nothing to do with us, contrary to what you say that things can only get worse when the season starts, he in fact has excelled himself and unrecognisable from the player we got from shudds, maybe we should give more credit to our coaching staff and our fitness regime, because the club has turned his career around which was clearly going down the pan there.

It's what we do at Wakey, we make good even better, and as a Cas fan I'm surprised you didn't realise that, because that's exactly what they do.
