| No doubt the Match Review Committee will have their say on Tuesday as well, to add to our problems.
Can't possibly have uppity little Wakefield doing well now can we.

| Trying to be positive I think he'll put out his strongest team as a cup run is good for confidence and Trinity are just 2 games away from the final..which if the team were lucky enough to make would bring in much needed income.
Taking into account injuries and form think team may look something like...
Jowitt
Johnstone
Hall
Arundel
Jones-Bishop
Miller
Finn
Anderson
Moore
England
Ashurst
A.Tupou
Sio
Subs. Arona, Fifita, Molloy, Annakin

| A win would be nice but in my view not essential . I would much rather have another win from our remaining s l games and let things develop from there. We should have been in the position to go to sheds on Thursday without a care in the world and under no pressure Wembley although I don't like to say it is a distraction at the moment . To beat shuds and then playing a semi would in my view be one game to many with a squad that even allowing for rotation looks under par and certainly seeing a down fall in fitnes levels.

| If Chester has said, biggest game since 2007 then, we have some insight into his thinking.
Does this mean that we have been targeting this one or, is it more of a rallying cry to try and get a bit more focus from the players.
IF we can just control the ball and give ourselves an even share of possession then we have enough to beat Huddersfield.
However, the departure of Anderson certainly gave them a lift against Salford and we could have done without that.
Ball control and discipline please and pray that Child isn't refereeing, the guy is not good for us at all.

Disagree we did not have Sio, A.Tupou, Hall, Arundel or Annakin in the 17. In my opinion all of these have something more to offer the team than those they may replace from the Friday game.

Next Thursday's game is far more important, ideally it would have been nice to win last Friday but it's more important that we beat Hudds as it's virtually although not impossible that one of the bottom 4 will win all their remaining games.

You can take Moore put of that line up straight away - absolutely no way our friends at Red Hall will fail to ban him for another couple of games after his cannonball tackle. For someone who has been chomping at the bit to get back on the field it was a stupid thing to do and will see him spending more time on the sidelines watching instead of playing.

I hope you're right, but with his past disciplinary record I doubt it (whether there was anything in it or not).

| Taking a more realistic view of things, and my belief that we will get at least one win and that the fixtures might do it for us anyway, I've changed my stance slightly and think we should focus on a Wembley visit. Top 8 is a must, but I think we'll get it anyway.
Let's face it, the Super 8's will be a dead duck this year (as it will be most years). There is already a six-point gap between 4th and 5th, and it will only get wider, because the teams above are better. We are eight-points adrift already. The chances of us getting into the top four are zero, although we might have some fun on the way. Focus on the Challenge Cup and one more win, and just enjoy the rest.

| For me, I would prefer to focus on the league, and make sure we are in the 8 come the end of round 23.
I don't expect to win too many games in the super 8s, but the under dog tag seems to fit us better and we tend to achieve more that way, but I would expect us to pick up a couple of wins along the way.
The only way we will shut up the doubting pundits is with a top 8 finish, and do this over a consistent period of time, rather than one season in three or four.
To me, we are still way off challenging the top 4, but we would be under no pressure in the 8's. We will gain more revenue, and we can start to plan ahead for 2017 without the threat of relegation, while some others can't. It has been a while since we can say that, and to me that can only be good for us, and any squad strengthening we may do for the new season

This is exactly as I see it Slugger.
We aren't getting anywhere near the top 4 and wins will be at a premium for us WHEN we finish in the top 8.
Chester needs to manage the squad and put everything we have into making progress in the cup.
Hopefully Huddersfield will have the opposite opinion and think of the cup as a distraction. However, they may also view the Cup as their only chance to salvage something from a diire season so, Thursday will be an interesting game.
I just want us to perform something like. Keep our discipline and look after possession, something badly lacking in recent games.
Lots of teams have really struggled in the wet conditions recently and it makes you wonder how the modern, faster, more athletic players would have coped with Winter rugby, when it was cold and damp every week (apart from cup final day, when it always used to be sunny (apart from the water splash final ![DEPRESSED icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//a054.gif)

He chucked the ball at JJB whilst he was on the ground. That was after JJB had injured himself whilst leading with the elbow while tackling DF.
Childs (the useless b******d) of course missed the elbow and Leeds got the penalty & DF the sin bin!
