Reece Lyne was awesome today. And dare I say it, Mathers has been brill the last 2 games. Two players I have more than questioned in the past.

Yes I have questioned these two players performances in the past, but agree have played well in last two games. Even Scruton did well today.

We should continually show Reece Lynne the video of that try before every game,
for once he backed his pace and then close to the line he was too big and too strong for 2 or 3 of the Hull players to stop him.

Thought Lyne was MOM today.

Yeah Mathers has looked a different animal these last 2 games, running hard, some good passes, safe under the bomb. Lyne had a good game, but that try was one of the best finishes you'll see.

Easy to say it doesn't matter if they don't go 100 metres and score and convert a try but that was a big error even by our standards.

That's said, I thought it was the best defensive performance of the season and at least there was a lot of effort and determination out there.

Big wrap to the forwards and thought Moore and Tautia were very effective.

Lots of fans around me and me included were screaming drop goal but I'm happy with the point we gained because it wasn't guaranted Sykes would have scored it.

Brain dead play not to go for the one point. The effort was great but the game was there for the taking and that is a point lost due to poor game management.

It was 0-0 at that point. From that play we offered no threat and then gave a penalty away on Hulls next set. They scored there try from that. Mathers scored after all that.

Sykes had to pass the ball because he did not receive it early enough, the defender was on him too quickly, not sure if he was offside to get there that quick
too busy watching for the dg.

We had 17 tackles on their line during that phase, 9 were within drop goal range and position but we didn't make a single attempt.

Failing the drop goal, we should then have kicked to touch, or just put the ball to their winger then penned them in a corner, kicking it touch in goal gifted them 30 metres of field position against a back peddling defensive line.

From where I was a drop goal looked a certain but Sykes might have seen it different

It's all conjecture, if for example he had gone for one point when the scores were level we could have lost. They didn't and we scored to extend the lead to 6 points.

I think they were expecting the one point when we scored our last try, which is where the gaps came up.
Yes, they scored tries from our mistakes, but we scored two tries from their mistakes - Lynne's length of the field was a poor kick on the last and the second try was a kick that should have been cleared by the defence - its not remarkable that mistakes lead to tries.
It was a great game of rugby today. Game of three periods in the first half. Awesome defence in the first twenty minutes.
Ryan puts his body on the line every game - think he's broken that left arm at least ten times this season.
So many ifs and buts - if Owen had caught that pass in the first half, if Hull hadn't have got a fingertip on the pass to Riley in the second half, but frankly great game, great effort.
I was shouting for the one point from twenty minutes out, even before our last try, and am gutted they didn't take it with a minute to go, or go for another set, or a scrum, but hey at this rate, let Bradford spend hundreds of thousands on appeals - they're still going down!!
