Having said that, anyone know why Cas were twice penalised when in possession at the ptb? I couldn't see anything wrong and haven't got the sound on to hear the wisdom of Sky's experts.

Must agree with every point. The officials are trying to take the game away from the players. They are gonna end up with a game that resembles Yawnion if we are not careful. He was not up to the job tonite.

It's no good knowing the rules if you fail to use that knowledge when it's needed, in fairness to thaler, this evening the touch judge should have had his flag up, and even the video ref was asked to look at it!!!!!!!

Thats all well and good but some of his decision making was atrocious.

The penalty for offside at the KO was pedantic to the extream, some of his interpretations of interferance at the PTB were just a joke, did he even speak to Morley, Carvell was lucky to stay on the pitch, Briers offside when he intercepted the ball for his try, the penalty for offside against Snitch which was wrong on about four counts, why no yellow card near the end when Warrington were obviously time wasting giving penalty after penalty away.
Thats off the top of my head
Add to this the sort of stupid decisions that we see from every official at every game.

The best refs in any sport are the ones you don't notice, we have exactly the opposite going on in almost every game you watch.
