| I think its easy to feel down in the dumps and let down by the club. Its great that some supporters have made great efforts to help the club out from the season start , however for a great deal more its just another chapter that contributes to another down turn. FOR ME that's the real long term problem , its almost become expectable and part of the culture. I have supported the club for years and my only wish would be that M Cs got the club on the right track, but it wouldn't come as any great surprise if another let downs just around the corner. Like I said that's Trinity unfortunately.

Keep franchises out of our game: |

| Very sensible post lampyboy! Sums up how most of us who are not "insiders" feel. I just wish that those insiders would stop hinting that they know things but can't tell us what they know hence building false hopes and that the club would keep supporters informed via the website and if the Newmarket plans have stalled tell everyone and tell them why. This is not mi5 it's the entertainment industry.

| We all want to see a club that can develop, and make headway. Two steps forward and one step sometimes three backs been the way for all the years I have supported. The Andy Kelly days stand out for me, boy that guy wore his heart on his sleeve. I honestly thought with the last admin that we had turned the corner, and although I wasn't on my own the total disappointment will linger for quite some time. I thinks its because I felt cheated and duped in to believing.
Anyway Im sure im not on my own and hope the club can finally shake its self down, get some good support and raise confidence in the process.

there are areas of concern that the club have to rectify first to get a decent foot hold before it can build up again and firstly is getting it running financially viable.
also ever thought of hard it is when a thousand voices are shouting for an explanation about the Belle Vue revamp when they want to keep their cards close to their chest lets hope it's not the death of this great club

I fully understand anyone who feels how you do - I've felt it too. We were so down at the last admin and we all believed that the then management were putting things right. We all loved the new covered stands, the extra bars, the better players etc... Which is why it hurt so bad to find out nothing had changed really.
MC and his team have cut costs to the bone. The result, in some areas of the business, is not pretty. The website is flawed, shop times uneven, match day issues etc..., but things are improving, mainly as a result of hard work and diligence. What more can we expect from anyone?
I don't know if the accounts are good. I'm told they are and, if I was a betting man, then I would lump money that being the case.
All told, I am now back to a point where I am looking forward to the game tomorrow. We may not win - and winning is important - but I know we have a unified group - players, coaches, fans and officials - who are pulling together to get that win. Most Wakey fans will tell you that that is all they want, and we've got that!
Regards the stadium, you want the plans laid out, but there are no plans - as I've said all along. The club would love to give us all details and timescales, but they will not do that with the position as it is. That's not to say we should all get nervous, because what is on offer is good, but there is an order that some things need to be done in. When certain obligations have been met we will all get chapter and verse - Michael wants that, we want that, everyone involved wants that.
One final point - please don't diss those 'in the know' for no other reason than being 'in the know'. They are fans, like you, but they have each, in their own way, gone out of their way to help rather than do nothing and if we do come on here with scraps of information it is because we do actually want to tell you all what's happening, but can't. It's not a game and there are both money and reputations involved here.
I for one am in a good place with it all just now. Bring on them Tigers!

| I think all the "insiders" need to take a long hard look at the situation .
All that they have achieved is a Big warehouse in the middle of a field.
Go back to the PI most people hard no trouble with a stadium but the industrial park was the bug.just think about what we have put on them and it looks like we are walking away from the mess we have created .

Some of what you say has an element of truth but you're way off on your main point, there does need to be some investigation into the process in order to avoid a developer pulling the same trick elsewhere in the future.
It's been said on many occasions in this very thread that some Community facilities are still to be built at Newmarket and the whole area will still be better than the semi reclaimed scrub land/former industrial site that had become a fly tippers paradise as the hundreds of rubber tyres shown on google earth proves.
That's only part of "what's been achieved" as without the actions of the fans and local residents we wouldn't be negotiating with the developers for the rebuilding of Belle Vue.

Ok I think just a little more than an element .
True the land could have been cleaner than it was but that was mainly the travellers rubbish and if you think it was bad then wait till the rest of the units are built it's going to be traveller heaven , just look at every industrial est in South Leeds .
I wouldn't be surprised if YC didn't go for change of uses and In a couple of years it will be housing

| Im happy enough for the club to let me know whats going on when they feel its appropriate. What I don't want is to be told tosh. I would much rather be told the delayed truth than an immediate load of lies.
Im sure that the club as a reason not to make an announcement , and when they do I like many will make a judgment.
It will either be a something worth waiting for, or leave many wondering why it was not released earlier ( whats the fuss about sort of thing )
If its the latter and I hope like many its not be prepared for an almighty backlash.

The problem is that I'm not sure your arguments have any credibility as you are clearly on here with an issue. This weakens the points you make. As far as I can see, you have posted only on this thread in relation to Newmarket. This suggests you have just one agenda and undermines you.
Yes, the community stadium was a vital part of the PI process, but a revamped Belle Vue doesn't mean there will be no community facilities at Newmarket, and I don't think "you must only build a stadium at Newmarket and nowhere else" has any real merit.
Time change. Provided there are no minutes of a meeting that suggest this was always the plan, then there is no real problem. As I understand it, it is the failure of other organisations that has led to this impasse (i.e., the additional funding has dried up). So pragmatism wins out.

Just what is your motive for being here? Mine us clear - to try and promote the realisation of a community stadium for use by WTW. What is yours? Are you a rugby supporter, if so, which club? I'd like to know, so we can all understand the motives behind your comments!
Btw, that's a load of bull about the stadium - the objectors tried every which way to undermine the stadium element. Well guess what, they may get their wish!
If you haven't understood the matter yet, that site, the old pit bit anyway, was always going to be industrial, with or without a stadium. I and my colleagues have done no more than merely help to accelerate that process. The land is no longer GB, and that is a result if the LDF, not the PI.
Now answer the question please!

Yes I'm a rugby fan and yes I post on other forums just like some of you.
So you think the LDF would have not taken the land out of green belt knowing what was happening ....
What really motivates me is to see the people who went to great lengths to put down the people who turns out to be telling the truth.
They are also the same people who are self congratulating "look at me I'm a trustee" the same people who said " yes Mr glover 3 bags full Mr glover and now look at them .
So what I'm saying is there in it for them and will change with the wind .
So just tell the truth ! Or can we not handle the truth?

| But you don't post on RL fans as a rugby fan do you, or at least not under this username.
Maybe you can't handle the truth and hide behind a name.
Stop playing games and man up.

Indeed, but we both know there's no chance they will reveal who they are.
