Supporting the club and being critical of the way it’s run aren’t mutually exclusive!'"
Absolutely. No one is beyond reproach.
But looking for ways to improve is not the same as complaining about everything either.

| Well, that's 5 pages of negativity about the club from its "supporters" and not a word of a positive suggestion about how the situation might be resolved. Most of the signings were well received by the fans and the squad containing Jowitt, Hall, Murphy and Tanginoa looked quite capable of holding its own this season. Their absences have been well documented and pretty much unavoidable.
The ground developments are essential and not negotiable and our only way forward is to make sure these are completed and in service as soon as possible.
So come on then, you keyboard warriors, tell MC & JM exactly who they missed out on signing and what can be done, in a real life situation, to turn the rugby situation around.

Spending close to £500k of our small budget on Gaskell, Lineham, Proctor, Antoni and Taufua is one of our major problems, I find it almost laughable when we are basically wasting a 3rd of our playing budget and yet the board bleat on about us pending less than everyone else.

5 nillings. 13 halves without a point. 1 try average per game and of the 47 points 24 came in the first game, do the people at the top actually have any feelings for the fans and the public of wakefield, do they actually care, if they did think anything about the fans they would do something about it. The club as been going through bad times most of my life but I've always thought in.the past we had hope and we had a chance.
This is not an enjoyable experience and defeat after defeat and poor performances as become the norm to the point that they will except anything including mediocrity and have for a number of years.
No one seems to know what the hell they are doing with recruitment or questioning it, we let Miller leave then phone him saying we've made a mistake and wel ask cas and pay a transfer fee before he even played, the players we brought in not as good as what left and on top dosh, an inexperienced coach and we are where we are but it's accepted.
I'm no Carter lover and I feel he's absolutely taking the pxxs out of the fans and having their pants down and having spoken to a few fans today who always backed Carter his approach and statement have made them furious and changed their way of thinking.
Do I think Carter will go, no.i don't till he's taken everything he can out of the club and hel just cling on in the background. We're all in this together but he's leaving and to be honest I can't wait for the day to come, I've never seen such bad feeling amongst the fans and most of the happiness as been drained from the club where most now can't be d and losing doesn't bother them. What a very sad sorry state of affairs.

Have someone in charge with some forward thinking and the ability to build a side to create interest in.the team and club.we had chances to build a side under chester and went the wrong way, Danny Brough for example and quoted as the final piece of the jigsaw, he'd been a great sl player but his legs had gone but we still sign him.

Easy to point out signings that didn't work after the fact.
And as said, without stating who you'd rather have had,, who was available it doesn't show any special knowledge.
Miller who you say we shouldn't have let go didn't exactly turn Cas into world beaters, even with an international halfback partner. If we'd kept him. I'm certain he'd have been on your list.
So yes. Some signings haven't worked and have really cost us. But that doesn't mean they don't care or are planning relegation as suggested on here by some.
The injuries to Jowitt, Murphy, Tanginoa have been massive for us.
None of it is fun for us but I reckon it's incredibly stressful for them.
And they've tried as best they can to get some loan players in, even though some clubs don't want to help. We'll see if the stand off can get us ticking.
So I think they are trying within the constraints they have.
If something happens and we win some of the home games in June I'll be overjoyed.
If we go down I'll be really sad but still watch and hope the current group are still there doing their best.....with additional staff and additional income from the stadium.

I agree. So what makes you think they aren't?

| Can't disagree on any of this Mopsey.
We all want one thing, and that is a club to be proud of, both on and off the pitch.
Most of us on here aren't stupid, and know we've never been the richest, or the biggest supported club, so don't expect all of our overseas players for example to be SOO quality, and for us to be at Old Trafford and Wembley every year.
What we do want to see however, is a competetive club that can be consistent and push to be in the play offs every year, and who knows, go far in the Challenge Cup. If we did have that, certain people, some on here too, would have a much quieter life

So all you want is something the club hasn't been able to do since the early 70s.
Simples. What the hell is Carter doing!
He should be farming unicorns on the new pitch too.

Like my previous comment, we never had a huge fan base or magic money tree then, so what's different.
Like Mopsey said, too many people happy with mediocrity.
If you set your standards low, you achieve low

Well the world was different in the 70s. We were semi pro for a start.
And we did have investors in the 60s and early 70s.
And the lack of a magic money tree is why the team in the 70s fell apart and we went from challenging to letting all our players go. And going to second division.
I thought you'd been around a long time. Why don't you know that?
Accepting where our limits are is not the same as not striving to be better.
You should always set realistic goals with a bit of stretch.
