Classy Cas don’t have any problems filling their ground and they have a far smaller catchment area than us .Love them or loathe them they seem to have got the product right on the field and are selling a great match day experience that people are willing to pay £22 for without any problems . No disrespect to the town of Castleford or the people but it’s glory days went when the mines closed so IMO it most certainly won’t be the most affluent town around the RL circuit , yet it’s packet to the gunnels most games .

Thing about Cas is most of their support comes from outside the Castleford area. I have friends who live in York and Selby who watch them and I know a lot of people in the East /North East of Wakefield go down to Wheldon Road.

Winning the league, getting to SL and challenge cup finals in recent seasons gets crowds. If we were doing that we’d be getting a lot bigger attendances. We’re averaging 5k not won anything since 1968 play in a poor stadium and have a habit of putting in performances like last weeks. We do well to get what we get, many so called big clubs would struggle in them circumstances. Once new stand goes up and keep building the club/team crowds will increase.

I think the first priority and expectation is that the upgraded facilities increases income. It may attract a few more???

Crowds will only increase if that then produces a winning side.

Got to laugh at you telling people to get real.

You are a prime example of someone who simply refuses to learn from history.

You cannot generally buy your way to success and on the rare occasions that works nobody has ever sustained it - see Bradford Bulls.

The only way to become a truly successful club is to build from the bottom up. Painstakingly putting systems and processes in place. This is made doubly difficult if you don’t have a pot of money. It’s agonisingly slow as all things especially young players take time.

You are making the classic error of confusing an underperforming team with the club. I know 100% as anyone with half a brain that the club is in the best shape it’s probably ever been,

However all the things that will allow the club to finance a better team are not truly on tap, most notably the East stand.

Get real. We cannot run until we’ve actually grown some legs and luckily that’s not far off.

I to an furious at the moment but with the players not the club. The club has bent over backwards to give thirty blokes a chance, some of them a third or fourth chance. These players in the last two weeks have simply not paid there debt. They are the ones at fault, not the club. I’m absolutely certain that when they were begging the club to sign them none mentioned that they would only play well for one in every three games.

We have at least 20 players who would fancy their chances to get another SL gig. Let’s not pursue this myth that our team is full of rejects because it isn’t. It’s full of underperformers at the moment who need to have a good hard look at themselves!

However if it bothers you that much please do the following.

1. Sell your house.

2. Cash in your pension.

3. Write a cheque for the full amount and post to Michael Carter care of Wakefield Trinity.

4. Stop working and work 60 hours a week for the club for free.

Once you’ve done this I look forward to a massive upturn in our infield performances.

Thanks

It's not that is it. You read it alright and you have no answer.

People like you don't like the facts, the truth tends to blow you out of the water.

Is there anything you don't know abou give it a rest.
Like I have said in the past you attempt to start arguments with many posters. Name calling seems to be your favourite pass time, and before you say it isn't take a look at your posts.
You boring and to be honest your scants don't deserve a reply.

I don't think they will flood in but for sure it will increase due to the newness of the stadium

At the start of this season I would have happily excepted a 11th 10th place at best finish and hopefully SL survival providing the rich clubs don’t get their way with a reduction to 10 clubs.
6 points from the opening 8 games to be honest is 2 more than I expected.
The player recruitment has been very poor Gaskell Lineham Hood Whitbread Adebiyi Minns a combination of past their sell by date and panic signings to make up the numbers.
Added to this the club have hung onto the likes of Tupou Arona Ashurst for at least 2 seasons too long maybe 3
Having said this providing SL status is retained I do see a brighter future providing the likes of Batchelor Bowes Kershaw Croft Walker Bowes Murphy Hall stay with the other senior players.

Maybe there's a reason the club bought those players, supposing there were not the players available that the club wanted for the money the club had to spend, and just because you and a few more on here think in your opinion the recruitment was poor does not mean that in the clubs opinion they were in, they held the same thoughts as you that they were past they're sell by date or were desperate to make up the numbers with panic buys.
At least then it's good the clubs doing something right in giving these youngsters a chance eh.
