If eveyone is fit, yes. But both Raleigh & Wilkes can play second row if injuries strike. Or he might want to try the modern way of a third on-field prop at loose forward (as leeds do) buy way of a tactical change or if Washbrook is either injured or covering elsewhere. It makes sense to have someone who can add to the team rather than just fill in. Agar has said he wanted this years signings to give quality rather than quantity. Gives genuine competition for places thats for sure, which is only a good thing.

| Hope Vic Mauro is the addition although only about 5 ft 10 tall according to Manley website but he's about 17 stone. He appears to be SL quality if he can get into the Manley NRL starting line up. He'd add some punch but we'd have to offload John for the quota spot first.

| Quote: Fordy "I'm not sure he'd fit under the "Value for Money" category that Richard was talking about on Tuesday night.
Bearing in mind that what we are after is a back-up really given we have Raleigh, Amor, Wilkes and Poore as first choices. Can't imagine he'd be a cheap option so to get value for money he'd have to play a lot of games - would he get that?'"
Thought Bailey was supposed to be on peanuts at Leeds? Given that it's generally accepted that Leeds players earn less than their peers at most other clubs it stands to reason that he would be one of the "lowest of the low". That added to the fact that he's hardly a glamour player and most clubs could probably steer clear of him due to his bad rep I think he could fit right into Agar's description.
The more I think about Bailey the more I think he would be OK for us and could really be what we need if we get him, don't forget not long ago he was playing for GB winding the convicts up.
Scuse me while I go wash my mouth out with germolene.

Come on, without doubt the best prop mentioned so far. Just because he is supposed to be an unpleasant person (allegedly) shouldn't detract from his ability as a first class prop. We are a RL team not a hippy commune.
Can't see it happening myself.

| I can't stand the fella, but there's no doubt that he could do a job; we seem to be cementing our role as the Whinos retirement home, so maybe it's not as daft as it sounds?

Last year you dismissed James, Johnson and Raleigh a midgets yet all are bigger than Dickens. Why the change of heart regarding size?'"
Raleigh I had a problem with his injury record but he proved us all wrong and he was so hungry last year I have a problem with players that don't try Ralleigh was fantastic last year he proved me wrong I never said he was a midget ! James did well when he came on just a stop gap. I cannot believe Hull have signed Johno he is a midget prop hes no loss what so ever.

I agree PJ was never a prop for me, didnt look heavy enough and was a midget. He was a worker not a yardmaker/line breaker.

Err no you didn't, you called it a midget pack.
As for Johnson, he may be small for a prop but he is bigger than Dickens. I have met Stu and he is more Jonny Thompson size and that is small for a prop.
So answer the question, why are you so keen on such a small prop when you dismissed two bigger players last year based on them as you put it being "midgets" - James and Johnson.
You have the size obsession not me, I'm just interested in what changed your mind?

Really, did a stirling impression of one when compared to say Jarrod Hickey.
As for calling him a midget get a grip
