Does the club realise the damage they themselves are causing by saying nothing about our recruitment which according to Mr Kear was concluded some weeks ago. Please explain to me in simple terms why no announcement has been made with regard to this issue, perhaps there might be a late surprise half back signing from Aus, which is understandable if the club wish to keep that part quiet but as for the rest of it there should be no reason why the FANS of the club should not be kept imformed if as you quite rightly say they need our backing, as far as the club and the players go I don't do criticism on here but thanks for reminding me that its not the done thing, and fwiw I will be getting a new ST irrespective of your thoughts on the matter but whether I am being petty or not I will get one in my own time just like the club will imform us of their recruitment when they are ready.

The only thing I can say is that my intention is to try to give the club the best possible chance of paying it's dues and having a little left towards new recruitments. It's chicken and egg time, only HMRC are strangling the chicken so there are few eggs appearing. If we don't pay - the club have no money - if they have no money then we can't pay bills and can't sign players. If we do pay.....

I am not, and have not, said that there is anything against being critical of the club - so please don't throw that one at me. I'm putting one side (an unpopular one at that) of the argument and you can put yours.

FWIW, I completely agree about the lack of information - and it frustrates the hell out of me as to why we continue to be so poor in that area!

However, if WE are to have a positive effect on the club, then WE need as many people as possible to buy ST's.......

I can understand where everyone is coming from and there has been no one more peed off with the performances than me. I've hardly seen an away game the second half of the season I've been so brassed off but we are at a crossroads.

The next 8 weeks are the most crucial in the club's history. We have a winding up order, a search for new owners/investors and an important planning decision on 22nd October. If we fail in this we will have no club to support but if all falls into place I think we will have a great deal to look forward to.

For what its worth I'm confident that everything will fall into place - not like me I know being a pessimist by nature but I really do believe it will all come together. So much so that this afternoon I not only renewed my "season ticket/hospitality package" but also my sponsorship for next season.

I know things are difficult and we have not been entertained this season but the Club needs us all now more than ever if we are to survive these difficult few weeks. I urge as many of you as possible to renew your tickets, sponsorship or whatever you do because without us the fans there will be no club.

Better times are just around the corner - I genuinely believe that.

I agree entirly with everything that you said and i must admit i also share your optimism.

The club may well need us, but it doesn't behave like it does; it continues to run WTW into the ground and to treat supporters like idiots and mugs, only to expect us to cough up for season tickets now so it can pay yet another tax bill that hasn't been planned for.

If I renew my ST, I'm afraid it'll be when I'm good and ready; no amount of rhetoric will persuade me otherwise. What would persuade me is some meaningful, honest updates from the club about the crucial issues that we're facing right now, but for some reason they seem incapable of doing that.

FWIW I got ours last week, and was proud to do so, albeit it cost me more than I was expecting as we no longer qualify for a family ticket, as my eldest is now a student, so my bank balance is now £465 lighter




BUT.... we are all loyal fans in our household, and would be lost without our Sunday afternoon rugby at Belle Vue (or Newmarket

I can understand peoples apathy to a certain extent after the season we have just endured, but Phil is right..... do you want more of the same next season (or even NO RUGBY AT ALL !!!), or as so-called Loyal Supporters, do we all put our hands in our pockets and SUPPORT OUR TEAM when it needs us most ?????

thats because phil, despite the fact i respect you and your work, you are miles away from the general opinion of educated informed fans at this moment in time.

People feel they're being shat on. Lied to. Fed false promises. Taken for granted.

Whether true or not, it's easy to see why they may think that.
