| I have so far restrained from posting on this subject however I think I will have my moan!!!
Firstly, what a great effort it has been to sell over 2500 season tickets in a month....its superb even though the tickets were heavily discounted.
However, I was under the impression that if 2500 people made the 'pledge' and bought one at £100 or whatever then the tickets would stay the same for everyone no matter when they bought it. This in my opinion is the way the 'product' has been advertised and sold through different sources.
As it happens it doesn't matter to me whether they put them in price on Monday or not, but I do think that the club ought to keep the prices low so that we can get a larger support base.
My final point is this. If someone decided to buy a season ticket today, what would they be charged? Yesterdays price or tomorrows price?...just a thought?

| Today's as advertised on website otherwise it's false advertisement until changed. That's if it allows purchase.

| I can see both sides of the arguement. The clarity of information is a little subjective, and leaves it quite open. Personally, i'm not fused either way, i gave my money on the first or second day, but if the prices stayed low i'd be happy for everyone else.
As others have said, and to an extent i do agree, we must place some importance upon getting season tickets early so that next year people don't just wait and assume they'll reap the rewards off others hard earned cash.
It's about a little bit of balance as this is the first year we've really got behind an ST offer. Announce the deal is to be extended by 2 weeks and the prices kept at £100, but also state 'AFTER THIS DEADLINE, PRICES WILL RISE'. They don't need to stipulate to what, but then fans have been given the opportunity to snap them up quickly and if they chose not too then it's hardly the clubs fault!

Yep, something I know a lot about! Having the correct systems and procedures in place isn't something that this club has always had, always tending to have to fire fight and be reactive rather than proactive. It now seems that things are been done in the correct way and I trust the club to get the pricing of the tickets from this point on correct and to continue to evolve and prosper. Its what business in every walk of life do, they have to survive. They must be doing something up to press right because lets be honest, who at the beginning of February would have though 7 months later we would have about 3000 season ticket holders for the 2012 superleague season???

Surely the whole point of a special offer for a limited time, is that it is just that.
Although one may be able to argue about the level of publicity, the idea is to encourage people to buy in, large numbers over a short period of time.
As far as people missing out on the deal then thats just how it is.
The club need to generate a certain level of income to sustain the busines and now that we have around 3000 ticket holders (which by the way is fantastic) we need to generate some income.

We could conduct a bore-fest about continuous improvement if you like - it's one of my obsessions!
Totally agree with you - if there is some determination within the club to learn from everything and do it differently or better next time, we won't go far wrong. In this context, selling 3k ST's at this point in the year is an outstanding achievement, but there is something to be learned from the perceived amibguity in the marketing messages and the apparent lack of publicity.

I think you've got it spot on here.
1) We need to ensure that next year (whatever the offer might be) we don't lose out on the early income by people thinking they can just wait and get them later as whatever deal will be honoured for all.
2) There has been a lot of confusion around this offer from day one and I think to now state "We are extending this offer until Mid/End October (let the club decide what date is best to pick) but then after that time prices will rise to £x. Let everyone know that this is now a time limited offer and if you don't get them in the extended period then you WILL have to pay more.
And next year - Clarify the wording of the offer a bit better so there is no ambiguity and people are clear what they need to do and when in order to get the best deal.

Absolutely - that introduces what marketeers call 'scarcity value' and it's a very powerful motivator to get people to buy things.

I think that's great. Thanks to those who subscribed early, and to Mr Glover's generosity, we could really pack the place out next season. Well done!

| Also worth noting that at 92.6% increase on last year, with less than a 50% reduction, the club has made more from ST sales, without all the food/drinks/merchandise that the extra people will purchase.
