27/01/2015 is this the meeting that will decide the future of the community stadium at Newmarket or Belle Vue or nothing. Let's hope all the years of hard work pays dividends and the meetings positive and we get to hear good news and Wakefield finally gets its stadium its spent years trying to get.

Oh are we having a new stadium then?

Slight correction, it is a crucial meeting, but I doubt it will be the one and only! It's the first time we've sat down directly with the developer for some considerable time though, which must mean he wants something again! That has to be good news for us. We will do our very best!



Oh, and warning up front, we may not be able to report the outcome directly following. If we come to an agreement, any announcement will probably be to an agreed timescale - if we don't, then we will either look for a follow up, or... Watch this space!

I applaud anyone who can sit round the table with the person who was promising the earth to get his planning permission and precious warehouse has delivered zip all and is trying to weasel out of any commitment whatsoever . So good luck to everyone , I reckon your going to need it ..

Hope council are fully behind as the sporting facilities in Wakefield are a disgrace. Hope Box doesn't come with his cas shirt on. Meetings I attended. York Court said "I can assure you the first thing that will be built shall be the ground".
We need something off them; what they have built near my house is humungous

Thought it was at 1600 this aft, it has been said don't expect an immediate report on the meeting. Aslong as it was positive that's all we can hope for.

Can't go into details, but the meeting was disappointing.

We are still in this - but it's not at all easy, in any way.

Disappointing as in the biscuits were crap, or as in 'why in gods name do i put myself through this?' ???

At least there was only two pages of pointless speculation this time.

I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for all involved in the fight. I hope they are successful and if they are I hope they get the praise they deserve after so many kicks in the teeth.

Yup! Off his death bed apparently!

There is no money to build a stadium. Why do people expect anything ? If a bit of money can be cobbled together from somewhere to build a stand on the Western Terrace I will be satisfied. The last thing I want and I think the majority would agree with me is a souless half empty new stadium by some motorway exit that is great for away supporters but rubbish for people without cars and especially people living south of the city who would need to catch two buses to get there. Great for your corporate stuff but rubbish for the ordinary supporter.

If I had a pound for every time TRB has said " I can't go in to details " I would have enough money to build my own stadium. Isn't it about time somebody spoke out and exposed the people who have made promises for their own ends and shafted the club. Do these people deserve to be protected ? These people need exposing so they can join the line of "self important men " who have let the club down step forward ... Pearman Glover and now ......?

Respect to those that keep the fight going over this long period of time and one never knows we might one day get a new stadium without one of the fans getting a big euro millions win.

So is the report in the Wakefield Express about todays meeting going to be "no progress for Wakefield Community Stadium" or was there anything positive from the meeting
