| Perhaps we should camapaign for Glover to give alms to the poor every Sunday. He could annoint their feet as well.
People have had close to 2 months to sign up to what is the best deal we've ever had offered to us. It is a business though, not a charity, and as such, I'd trust the business acumen of those now in charge, who have demonstrated their success elsewhere and have managed to smash our number of season ticket holders 4 months before the start of the season. I'd love it if we could continue to give away the product below market value forever and attract more people, but there are other factors to be weighed up which mean such a strategy is unlikely to be as straightforward as some on here would paint it.

| I agree, as much as we want to attract as many supporters as we can, we need to justify that with the necessary income.
From the point of view of attendances though, another 606 per game will elevate us above cas in attendances and get us up in the 7000s.

| Sorry but i've heard some right rubbish on this thread! Season tickets were guaranteed to be £100 IF you and 2499+ others signed up and paid before October. I did and i'm not bothered if they go up or stay the same come Monday. The offer was there to be taken, if people didn't do it then it was their choice. A sale is a sale, when it's gone it's gone!

| I was told it was made quite clear in the Wakey Express this week that if the target was reached the price would stay at £100. I've got mine at a price that I'm very happy with and it makes no difference to me what they sell them at now as long as it's what works best for the club.

[iReaching the target will ensure that season ticket costs can be kept to £100 for adults, £80 for concessions and £20 for juniors.[/i

Add this to statements on the official site like keep prices low for EVERYONE, and it's easy to see where the confusion may arise. Given that a number of people were also unsure of what was meant by ealier statements regarding payment for the offer, it's definitely something that should be looked at by the club in future.
Be that as it may, it's still been a fantastic result for the club in a relatively short period of time on the back of a difficult season on and off the pitch. Let's hope we can continue to bring as many people as possible on board before the start of next season.

| Whilst ambiguous at best, nowhere has it been stated by the club that if the target is met, the price will stay a £100.
When it says reaching the target will keep the cost at £100, it is referring to those who bought before the deadline.
Supporters have bought their S.T’s in good faith, knowing that if the target isn’t met, the price would rise to £180, they deserve to be applauded, and receive cheaper tickets for their commitment.

You do not get it do you, new fans are likely to take the offer up at £100, then go on to buy a shirt, food, drink... why have a stadim half full at £175.00, when you can get alot more in at £100, plus a shirt £40, program, food, match day draw tickets, flags, car stickers, drink in a few Games you would nearly claw back the £75 lost on the season offer...

That's not the issue though.
Yes, I too would love to see tickets remain at the affordable £100, but the problem is that if they do, then what was the "early bird" offer?
In the context of next year...If there is no benefit to buying early, then I may as well just wait til...well, anytime before next season. In such a case, the club could just have missed out on 1/4 of million quid in the bank before the end of Sept!
There needs to be a clearer view of the spectrum of the deals on offer e.g. £100 EB offer before end of Sept, with the option of spreading cost over 2 months.
After that tickets are, say £150, to be paid for by the end of closing in December. This ideally would come with the option to spread payments over the 4 months (Sept-Dec).
When the club re-opens in January, tickets are full price, say £185.
All this needs to be clear from the beginning.
I believe there are costs involved with setting up and running "payment options", but I don't imagine that it would be too hard for the club to administer that itself (???), in the form of a savings club.

Good point dboy, but at the end of the day fans like me/you would get the season tickets any way, but a new fan may not then we loose out as a club... there must be a better way round this...???

I was having a dig at idiot posters who come up with half-baked ideas without looking at the other side of things and think they have a finished solution, not people without much money. Additionally, if they can afford all you say they'll buy, I don't see the £100 quid ticket with split payment options being such a problem.
Perhaps the current management have weighed up the options and thought that anybody who hasn't taken the very generous, essentially loss-leading offer is either not committed enough or arguably that skint that on balance, the offer shouldn't be extended. I don't profess to know all the ins and outs of it. What I was getting at though, for fear of repeating myself, is that on this one, I think it is churlish to have a go when they have run such a successful offer.

| Not sure if anyone has noticed but the payment for £100 season tickets is available still to buy on the clubs home website.
I just clicked through a few options and it appears you can still purchase at the early price.
I got the Gold standing for £100 but must say the Gold £120 for centre stand seating is nothing short of a steal.

It is nothing personal; it is aimed squarely at anyone spouting guff. If you'd prefer, I'll gladly concede a change to 'posters with idiotic views'.
