difficult game for Stanley Rangers today but came well on top beating East Leeds 34-4 who for the want of not trying spoiling tactics

shame they don't just play the game as they will become a decent side if they tried

Got my first taste of Stanley Rangers Emerging 8s action today against Sidall, great performance from the Stanley kids very mature performance from the young kids, which saw them win 8 tries to 3.

Shaw Cross Under 10s fell at the last play the ball to Cas Panthers in a game that looked all the way a Draw .
A Very Excited Cas Team Piled on the try scorer as broken hearted Cross Learned It ain't over till that whilst Goes .

1 off the best 10s games Iv seen for a long long time .

Demolished Stanley 60-0 in a[u League[/u match. Pretty much half predictable which is very sad of a team full of talented players across the field . Another chance to just practice out things with players and test new players out putting new players at the ball etc .
I hear a few tales of what happened here and there and i shrug my shoulders and just wish that Stanley the very best of luck in their endeavours next year . My lad is a very happy All black ranger today and just classes this as 2 points towards the Money can't buy "Grand Slam" .

Next week the Streak is under real threat LOCK LANE , GOOD LUCK CRIGG BE THINKING OF YOU!

i saw eastmoor u8s v normanton u8s it was a cracking game the kids want to be proad of them selves with the game finishing 7-6 to normy

Cas Panthers u 12's travel to Oulton tonight with a threadbare squad, only 12/13 fit/available players. Think it's a great decision to play the game as it gives some 'fringe' players a great opportunity to show what they can do. And maybe gives some other lads more game time than they would normally get, also a no loose situation for the coaches as expectations will be lower due to squad availability. All teams suffers injuries etc, so need other players to be able to step up - ateotd it's not superleague - it's just a good opportunity for some of the boys

We can fully empathise, having 6 lads with broken bones in the last 3 months our first venture into division 1 has been made all the more challenging. Some are coming back but a fair way from fitness. Playing our first game at home in 8 matches tonight (at home now for the rest of the season!) we look forward to regrouping and working towards some consistency.

On Saturday Eastmoor Dragons Under 12’s drew 20 all away at Hunslet Warriors in a game in which both teams had opportunities to win. The Warriors started the brighter with the Dragons finishing the stronger to level matters. There was plenty of entertaining rugby on show with both sides driving the ball in strong and putting the ball through the hands well with the draw being a fair result.
The game was marred by a serious wrist break for the Dragons centre who now joins the ever increasing injury list.
As with other teams we are now down to 13 players so will need to put in a big effort to beat Newsome Panthers at home on Saturday (kick off 11.00)
Any lad in school year 7 (under 12’s) wishing to try rugby league for the first time or wants to get back into the game is always welcome to attend training sessions on Tuesday & Thursday at 6.30 – the more the merrier!!

last nights u12s game finished oulton 26 panthers 18.

fantastic performance from oulton and fully deserved the win,for us well the injury list just gets longer to the point where we now only have 10 fit players out of a squad of 18 which meens we have reluctantly had to forefit the game against stanningley on saturday with no players expected to return anytime soon.

take nothing away from oulton they are a much better team now they are over there own injury problems and will be more than a match for a lot of teams with there new and returning players.good thing for us at times like these you find out a lot more about players and i thought 3-4 stood up really well in difficult circumstances.

can i say after posting on many close defeats for the stanley under 10s a massive well done on sunday winning by about 20 i think the opponents slipped my mind . myself the wife and most of all T wishes you all the best for the rest of the season and hope we can meet up soon

Stanley Rangers u14s entertain Dudley Hill kick off 11-30

Spartans U13's went down to a fired up Stanley Rangers yesterday. Stanley were very much the favourites and they played some excellent rugby to seal the win.

In the toughest game they've been involved in so far though, our boys didn't roll over and given how far they've come in such a short time, they can all be proud of the performance, despite the result.

Cas Lock Lane next week, weather permitting.

in what has been a much improved side of late Dudley today turned up with 12 players

needless to say it was far from entertaining

Stanley 7's beat Dewsbury Celtic 5-4.

Another really entertaining game with some fierce defence from both teams.

Celtic had a giant of a lad playing for them but the Stanley lads contained him well.

Really impressed with the standard and the coaches at Stanley.

Eastmoor Dragons Under 12’s faced Newsome Panthers for the first time on Saturday and came out 32-22 winners. The Dragons started the brighter and raced into an early 14-0 lead. Fair play to the Panthers who didn’t let their heads get down and battled back to reduce the deficit to two points by half time. The second half was a close affair and only a couple of quick tries at the mid way point kept the Panthers at bay. The Eastmoor lads all put in a big effort and due to injuries we could only field 13 fit players. Congratulations to the players on both sides on an entertaining game.

to give a penalty is fair enough , another 10 for backchat ....ok then but 20 more surely a word with captain / coach and player and then to march them 30 yards without pulling the captain .

Already in the E L 40s being given 30 Crigg were always going to score.

as far as junior 7/8s etc go your in the best place mate . as i said Emma is a mighty fine ambassador for the club but Dillon and other helpers whom i don't know at this moment who she as or whether Ant is back on board? if so It is a great fella and mate.

Ive been very blessed with coaches , i'm not gonna go on about him as he dont like it but the credentials of young mutts coach is OOTW and Tommy as fallen on his feet.

before that both have enjoyed great coaching from dedicated coaches.

Sandal Spartans U13's lost a close fought encounter with Birstall Victoria on Saturday; Spartans started the game asleep and let in 3 tries in the first 15 minutes, but battled back to make it a nip and tuck affair for the rest of the game. Fantastic stuff - a tough old game with some great football from both sides.

I have heard from other clubs that the young lad who reffed our game has
taken charge of theirs at your place. Seems he was equally diabolical, and in all fairness the Crig representative I spoke with was going to contact the society to suggest he should not be reffing that level.

All referees will make mistakes, that's not hard to understand, it's when the one sided decisions are so blatant, that and the laughing and joking with opposition players in the game, it really undermines the effort the lads and coaches put in. If that referee is ever put in charge of our fixture in future we wouldn't even let the game begin.

sounds like the same ref that disallowed 4 lock lane tries the other week and awarded 1 to east leeds after failing to spot a knock on while every player stopped waiting for him to blow his whistle.at u12s it shouldnt be happening whilst refs make mistakes blatent cheating does nobody any favours.

final game before the break for us this weds night at shaw cross, thankfully we have 5 players returning from injury and hopefully we wont pick up any more on weds night then its a well earned rest for a 3-4 weeks before we start again in september.

i was just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this seasons "summer" rugbuy for the juniors. i personally think that there have been too many weekends off and everything seems very disjointed! My own personal preference would be to go back to winter rugby but have the 3 month break from december to march.

Given that we don't seem to be actually having a 'summer' this year, it's hard to judge.

On balance, I'd prefer to stay with summer but I agree with you - it's been a bit too disjointed, exacerbated by the lousy weather; it will be easier to judge after another full season.

Either way, it needs to be one or t'other for everyone; I can't see how the game benefits from warring factions pushing their own agenda and splitting the amateur game in two.
