Changes to u12 division 1, looks like Eastmoor and Siddal requested to be moved down, only 8 in the group now.

Strange thing to do at 12s if so, they did win some games last year.

yes, beat us in the cup and we were very much looking forward to playing them this season with a larger squad. bit of a shambles when the top division only has 8 teams and the other divisions have more !

Sure last week there were only four.

I can maybe understand Siddal dropping down,like my lads team(Greetland - theyve gone into div 3) a bit unsure of what to expect after the West Riding league.

First weeks fixtures for the U12's are up.
Its a shame Eastmoor have dropped a division I always liked going up there. It seemed to add a bit of spice and produced some tough games.

Actually just seen Greetland are now in div 4 -- dont really see the point of a top eight play off when there are only 8 teams in each division.

I may be wrong, but don't think 'moor won a 'league' game last year. Could be pot hunting, or maybe the coach's are worried aboutv the affect losing every week has on the kids? Either way i wish them well for the season.

it is a bit of a joke really..what if a couple of other teams had said that they wanted to stay in div 2 so that the kids could win ..

Stanley Rangers Reds U13s have requested to be lifted two or three divisions from Div5 to Div2 or Div3.

I agree, the kids should always be encouraged to play at the highest standard possible even if it means very few wins, or none at all. They will only improve by playing against better players, and of course with quality coaching.

Cant see why they didnt go with four divisions of 10

True the 30,40,50-0 scores look really good but the games are boring and the players learn nothing.

Well they should have asked if two teams from div 2 wanted to play in div 1,if two teams couldnt be moved from div 2 to div 1 they should have refused Siddal and Eastmoors request.Wasnt it originally at the clubs request at which div they were in??

I dont believe the clubs that have been moved down a division to accomodate Eastmoor/Siddal have had a choice.

im a little dissapointed that we are in groups of 8 tbh,obviously two teams didnt want to be in the top group and have opted to be dropped down a league,siddal are clearly an unknown quantity and can be excused but i think its a little narrow minded from eastmoor who up until the last 6 months have been able to compete with the best teams and i dont think they have lost too many players,im sure they have there reasons for wanting to be in group 2.

again it goes without saying group 1 looks very tough and im sure there will be some cracking games throughout the year,we are cretainly looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead has will all the teams good luck to all.

the last full winter season changes were made to the leagues until xmas to even them out

True what most are saying re challenging the players, I'm sure my side could finish top of two though they would develop further with a bigger test. I'm not sure all the players are quite ready for the step up, but they have worked very hard as a group to achieve all they have in a short time and have earned the chance to test themselves. Here's to a competitive season.
