| Broughy is not on my list I'd have but he's here now so let him get on with it.
one thing I won't do is come on here and say I told you so as if I knew what I was talking about as I'll leave that to them that are paid for doing it and so far has done it well

| Quote: PopTart "I'm starting to change my mind on this signing a bit.
When you look at the other teams and who they are signing, we need to step up just to remain in that top 8 group.
Brough is obviously part of this....as is Kopczak
When you think that Salford will have Hastings on a permanent basis, Leeds will have Hurrell, Lolohea and Crosby, Huddersfield have started looking at names with their new coach who certainly picked them up last year, and of course Catalan have added Tomkins and Uate so they are going to be pushing us too.
Above us
Sts will have Naiqama, Paulo and Coote which I think will improve them further
Wigan have Hardaker if he ever get's on the field
Warrington have Blake Austin coming in
I think London and Hull KR will struggle across the season but in one off games they'll cause a stir and I'm sure they'll target us.
I don't think Cas have changed much and I think they'll need to up their game same as we do.
Hull haven't done anything yet but they'll be looking to improve by simply getting a fit team on the field.
Everybody except London and Hull KR have a decent shout at top 8 and most probably fancy a crack at the 5 as well.
I'm looking forward to it already.'"
Uate has signed for Hudds mate, not Catalans. Catalans have also brought in Smith but lost Drinkwater, big loss for them that.
I think Salford could do with some more forward power to make use of Hastings, Lui, and Sio IMO. They've let about 10 players go and just brought 4 in, their squad looks crazy thin. just looking 3 of the 4 new signings came in at the end of last season as well.

There are some on here that think they know what their talking about, but they don't get paid for it and don't let them tell you any different.

| I agree I too have many doubts about this signing and yes others have signed keynote players but with the exception of Warrington these squads are short of depth. They are gambling on keeping the majority of their squads injury free.

| I have doubts but I am happy with Brough, a lot of other clubs in worse positions currently.

| Quote: Kettykat "It’s a win win situation for me as we now have one of the best half’s in super league but also cover if things go wrong. On his day there are few better kickers or passers of the ball and I for one can’t wait to see him run out in our club colours . Bet Pauli n co can’t wait to be put through gaps now instead of battering their way up field . Most on here will admit last season we were at times headless when it came to last plays and keeping the pressure on , now we have a guy who has all the guile n skill to unpick those defences and I for one can’t wait to see him run out in a wakey shirt .'"
I’m not sure where you’ve got this idea from but just so you know, miller made twice as many TA than brough. Hampshire made more too. His short range kicking isn’t that great, poorer since the new ball design, and we scored few tries on last tackle options last season, and when we did it was usually Gaskell that orchestrated those.
His goal kicking has also gone down hill about 65% success rate last year.
What he will do is get you territory with his long range kicking. He’s a master at getting the ball in the right place, with plenty of time, to go to the right place. Expect a few more 40/20s next season. I reckon a change / refresh is just what he needs. He will always give 100% effort of that you can be sure.

Thank you for your professional assessment of Brough
Looks like you're a little bitter there
Standard for any shudds fan since the merger

You do realise that we will very likely have Miller, Hampshire and Brough all playing at the same time.
If it clicks, which of course there is no guarantee, we will have an extremely dynamic attack and with the likes of Pauli, Fifita and Kopczak running off them, it could be an interesting season for Trinity.
Come om Trin !

| Personally I still think this could be a risky signing especially with it being a two year deal.
HOWEVER having watched the England scrum half perform today I would take Broughy every time over that vastly overrated player.

It may still be but ateotd if Brough doesn't come and play like we know he can, he'll be in the reserves because I can't see CC standing for any dramatics from him. He just needs to keep his head down and play RL and I think especially this upcoming season he'll play well because he's got a point to prove.
