Washbrook at 6 and john on the bench? So to bring him on we have to re-jig the whole team? No Ellis again and Mellars on the bench? Well Me Agar you need to have been proved right after this one otherwise you've just set yourself up.

Would love to know the thinking behind that selection. Only thing I can think is that he is not 100% certain that Mathers is recovered enough from his illness and/or Collis is still not 100% . However, if thats the case, neither should be playing in the 1st place.

If Kear was incharge could you imagine the amount of stick he'd get for that line up! With regard to the bench, Mellars i can understand. He can play second row and cover a position in the backs if required. John for me either starts or isn't in the 17. Harsh maybe, but such is the change required in the line up it becomes far to problematic.

Would it not have been better just to have Aiton on the bench?
