Sadly we can thank Trinity’s endless bad luck. Myself with the help of Klav came up with a plan to sort the west terrace. A two phase job. Very basic but neat. MC/JM we’re smitten.

It was hoped there might have been enough cash left to do phase one.

Sadly a massive hike has put an end to tha for now. If we’d have started the rebuild 18 months ago it would probably have happened.

I think that even a fire exit door cannot be propped open and we would certainly be asked to closed it but it doesn’t matter. We should have bigger cosmetic improvements to make.

I am talking about those few portacabins on concrete blocks . They would cost very little to get rid of. If they are left there when the new stand arrives the will stand out even more. Its like building a brand new house and plonking an home made greenhouse of discarded window frames and old doors in the back garden.

Yes i can understand that. For what its worth , the small amount left after the new stand would have gone on the west terrace. Its the worst part of the ground by far and a little investment there would yeild the greatest benefit.

Like I said before, we push away fans in there. So if you leave an open goal dont be duprised if the opposition score an easy goal.

The state of the surrounding streets is out of the clubs control. We can't be blamed for that.

Can’t we get a temporary stand for the west terrace ie like Salford football did?

Sadly it’s not a question of can we get some temporary stands, but can we afford to get some temporary stands.

Any chance you can post the images on here, just be interesting to see what it would look like. Would still need the tv cameras on that side do they face the new stand.

If Lino’s drop goal would have gone over all this hullabaloo about those seats would have put the boot in the other foot with fans having a dig at saints .Personally I’d never noticed them and was stood there earlier in the day watching my grandson play for Eastmoor dragons . The state of the ground is secondary for me and always has been to the game . But moving forwards the new stand will stick out like a sore thumb if everything else doesn’t at least get a tickle of paint ,even weeding areas .Personally I think everyone has their eye on the bigger picture at the club ,but attention to detail certainly needs stepping up .

Any respect I had for Saints has now gone after Sunday. The photos on their official twitter page looks like a child had posted. The reaction of their fans in the seats and their comments made towards our fans was totally uncalled for. Will look with interest if they post photos or made snide comments when they next visit Cas!

Yet Leeds Council facilitated £37million borrowing for the Headingley upgrade and they spent precisely £0 on upgrading the accommodation for away fans. I don't recall any flak going Leeds' way following their big spend.

Ours is a lot worse than theirs though.
