| Having just watched the trys I think I understand the feelings of many on here. The McShane score will live long in the memory and absolutely no excuse for the lapse, certainly not the short turnaround or the referee.

But for the feeble minded …
yes
I was having a laugh!

| Thought it was interesting what Radford said post match about their game coming up with Leeds on Monday and the short turnaround…”you feel alright at kick off and 10 minutes in you find there’s nothing in your legs”. For me that was us in a nutshell…
Just looked physically and mentally drained from kick off.
Cas signalled their intent right from the start…Watts and Westerman doing what they wanted…just making easy metres…no line speed, no aggression in our defence like there has been for the most part this season. Our rucks were so slow, our forwards so easily dominated the backs didn’t have a chance.
Need a big freshen up for Monday…not losing faith in this group just yet…

| Quote: Spookisback "There’s a decent point in here somewhere… but I don’t think the analogy works totally… teachers doctors and nurses are not in a gladiatorial profession … where where they are judged by beating other teachers doctors and nurses… there’s a physical and mental side to professional team sport which means if either of those aspects is off.. then the opposition will prosper…
I’ve worked in environments where people have not tried… been incompetent and even deliberately sabotaged the work… and because of the others in their team and that there is no opposition to take advantage of this, their efforts (or lack) have been hidden, obscured in the overall ethos of doing a good job.
I can be disappointed or even angry when things don’t work out… at work at home and in sport…
… but my overall feeling watching the score develop on Twitter was disappointed… but I’ve been subject to the vagaries of being a Rugby League fan for long enough to know that the good bits are worth suffering the bad bits!
But that’s a personal choice and ultimately if that’s the criteria by which you spend money for entertainment… maybe competitive team sport is not for you!'"
The point I was making is these lads get paid no matter how they perform, unlike a lot of jobs out there. You talk about a gladiatorial scene, try being in LGI A & E on a Saturday night, there was nothing gladiatorial about our performance, maybe amateur dramatics. The point you make about competitive team sport not being for me is hilarious, considering I’m making a point about the team playing abysmal against our rivals, when a lot of us have traveled and raced home from work to get to the game. Wish the team put that effort in last night ........ oh wait

| I hope some of the players are having a look on here, as they need to see some of the comments.
Rolling over, again, in a local derby and letting us down badly.
Shocking.

| Awful is the only word I can use. Probably the worst performance for years. All a mediocre Cas needed to do was play the basics right. Some strange decisions from the man in the middle. The six again lark needs scrapping as he seemed to give them out on a whim. The experience was made even worse by the foul mouthed trinity fans standing behind me who seemed oblivious to the large number of kids standing in front of them, including my grandson.

| Any body think we may be going over the top on here . Same squad as last year, we have been down at bottom for last 3 years .Coach brought in 3 or 4 players in and left .Looks like 1 poor signings when they play ( Do not tell me that Gaskell is class our attack as gone flat in the last 2 matches way past is best to me) Hood looks good in parts ( ok he was bad last night) Think he should be given 25 minutes before interchange .We have got 3 wingers for the same spot (all injured) so paying Kay there when he was beginning to look good as interchange hooker .Think new coach as done a great job on getting more out of the team ,than old coach had done in last 3 year As said we are missing Miller big time.We had a four day turn round. Was impressed with defence last night in first half With the lack of ball and penalty against us .Second half like Wigan game we can out of gass .

| The morning after the night before. Two things before I rant. First, Tom and Liam K are probably the only two out of the team that took the field last night who do not deserve scathing criticism and who come out of last night’s embarrassment with some level of respectability. Second, neither a four-day turnaround nor Chris Kendall are legitimate excuses for the lack of effort and pride which epitomised yesterday evening’s appalling ‘performance’.
Pick the bones out of that one. Where do you start? How about with the straw that broke the camel’s back and the moment which, for the first time in over 40 years of watching WT, forced me to leave the ground with nearly 20 minutes to go in absolute disgust - that farcical play-the-ball near our own line which led to another embarrassing Cas score and which will surely feature on the ‘what happened next’ round on Question of Sport. What a joke. That team last night deserve to be the laughing stock of the rugby league community this morning. I won’t call it amateur because quite frankly that would be a slur on the amateur rugby league playing community. It was a moment that just typified what was a dumb, gutless, clueless and prideless ‘performance’. That shower should be ashamed of themselves and made to watch that moment on repeat this morning in the review assuming of course that they actually have a review.
The team well and truly stank the place out last night and, given what they produced on the pitch, they need to take a good, long hard look at themselves and ask - do I really deserve to be paid for that ‘performance’. Answer – no you do not. They should be receiving a written warning off the back of that ‘effort’.
The fans deserve better. We give up our hard-earned money to pay your wages. We give up our precious time to watch and support you. We don’t ask for a lot in return – just some effort and pride in what you do. Do you honestly think it is acceptable to repay us by serving up that complete tripe? Many of you are not fit to lace up the boots of the great players of the past who have worn the red, white and blue. Keep putting in shifts like that and there’ll be nobody in the brand spanking new stadium turning up to watch that crap and half of you will be unemployed. God help any of you who I see around the city after serving up that dross.
Back down to earth with a massive bump and a huge reality check. With showings like that, if anyone thinks that we will not be in the relegation dog fight this season then think again. We narrowly beat the bottom of the table side at home. We were lucky to play the Warrington side when we did. We nearly threw the Salford came with 40 mins of second half drivel.
Let some of the reserves show us what they are made of at Wigan on Monday and let the majority of that embarrassing joke of a first team spend the duration of the match running up and down Cannonball hill and afterwards make them appear on Trinity TV and apologise to the fans for the absolute garbage they have just made us endure. Stop stealing a wage, bend your backs and play with some damn pride!

John DT needs to come in on wing and Kay at 9. Aydin, Shaw and Walker also need to come in on Monday…..

Gaskell and Hood have yet to shine for me. Gaskell was not to be seen last night . Woody was better when he left than Hood is now. In fact I'd have Woody back now for Hood.
I'm sorry but it's the old argument for me. We're two specialist props short. Tanginoa may be able to fill at prop, but the fact remains he's a better second row man. Tackling big props like Cas have takes it out of smaller guys and one day we'll learn.
The old rugby term applies (even though I think it came from the other code) - forwards win games, backs decided by how many.

| Vasty lad.
You have defended the players and club time after time, over many years.
You have constantly jumped on the back of any contributor who shows even the slightest criticism and quite often gave a vile response when doing so.
I find it amazing that you have adopted this attitude after one game, its also only a few weeks since you jumped to the defence of quite a number of players who have without doubt dropped in form or offered silly contract extensions.
Its only a matter of weeks since the players put in 2 good performances against the Wire so what needs addressing is how they can go from heroes to zeroes. I honestly share you pain but having not attended last night feel better for it this morning.

| The last 4 weeks just basically sum up Wakefield Trinity for the last 60 years! From the sublime to the ridiculous, no consistency in performances, even given there were mitigating circumstances last night, how many times have we 'played' like that over the years? Far too many. I'll cut Poching some slack as he's an inexperienced coach, but some of his selections are getting slightly baffling. One thing I will say though, there seems to be a big contrast with the home/away performances, take Saints, Catalans, and the 2 Wire games away, and compare them to Hull, Salford, Tolouse and last night at home, chalk and cheese would be the politest way to describe them. We should all be used to it by now!! So before we all get too depressed, in any sport, players make fools out of coaches, chairmen, fans, and themselves, so expect a win at Wigan on Monday.........yesssssss come on now, let's have some positivity!

Your right I have defended them but in a vile way, give it a rest, you have a fair point without adding Musson nonsense.
Nobody asked me too be the players/clubs champion that’s for sure so it’s my own fault I knew the risks. But like everyone else I have a limit and last night was it and I’m not going back on it.
It will take an extraordinary revival to convince me to ever buy a season ticket again. People say it’s counterproductive but I don’t see how it is. We don’t have the best squad but we do have one that should be way better than we have been for the last four years so why should I pay extra for games I no longer wish to attend, most notably Leeds and Cas at home.
Dead wood is such a cliche but in our case it’s a dead Forrest.
As for the Warrington results, I think it’s fairly obvious now that Warrington were the architects of there own demise and not us.
Pray Toulouse don’t find the winning formula because I’m sure Leeds will.
