Well its not were we would want to be at this stage but its just how it is and we'll have to plod on, maybe we'll come good when they all fit in.

I didn't get there so I can't say but I know what people mean when they go on about Gleeson. So something needs to be done about that wing. It could take Obst/Jefferies (when back) and Cooke a while to sort things out. Add to that we have Tevita Leo-Latuo who is not the most organised hooker and James Davey getting up to speed. Therefore I am of the opinion that some things can be fixed reasonably quickly and others might take a game or three to sort themselves out.

was gonna keep out of this al as i did not go but to say im slightly disappointed with some comments on here is the biggest understatement off the year so far , what hurts more is the fact that i thought it would be the usualls but no its posters who normally have a little more dignity in defeat.

we a injury list that is growing even if sky just concentrate on those whinoes injuries , we have had to move players around and have lost to a very good wire side , andy kelly on radio paid tribute to the defence to keep them out .
once cooke settles and bj returns i think we can adapt a different game .

in kear we trust.....or rather i do.

at times i really struggle to get to grips with some comments on this board

I'm just going to say that I thought Warrington were superb last night and would have beaten most teams. Well done to the Wire, and if we win on Friday, this won't matter. In fact, the score ended up as one that you could have reasonably predicted before the game.

We've had a good first third of the season, except that the bad moments have been really bad. Now we just need a solid middle third, with a 50-50 win ratio to be there or thereabouts for the final third run-in.

It's not all doom and gloom. We were just beaten well by a very good side.

Sorry Mutts - you weren't there and, as someone who who tries to 'big up' most things Wildcats, I can only say that the performance last night was garbage - from start to finish, almost to a man and was as dull as dishwater. If somehow that makes me disloyal for having a downer after working my nuts off all week, spending £35 on tickets, rushing home and having 10 minutes to get changed and get back on the road - then I'll take it.

IMO that performance ranks alongside the Huddersfield debacle - only difference being that Hudds were more clinical in finishing us off and with their goal-line defence. icon_sad.gif

Really, really fed up after that! icon_sad.gif

eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif eusa_clap.gif

At last some sense, I expect the usual suspects to come on with OTT stuff like SHOCKING but some posters on here surprise me.

Even at the start of the season we were IMO a possible 8,7 or at best 6 finisher. Having now lost Brough, Newton and for now BJ the brains of the outfit people still seem to expect fecking miracles.

Just stop and think people. Warrington, at home, on form with team that cost millions and they beat us comfortably WOW I'd have never seen that coming.

Fans often attack players for believing the hype, well in this case it's the fans. No way is losing to Warrington by that margin either shocking or a shock.

Even without the loss of those mentioned it still wouldn't have been a shock. We built our teams with mainly scrap (appropriate considering our sponsor). The latest most ludicrous most bound to end in tears one is the expectation being laid at Gledhills door. He's a kid with promise, he will go down before he goes up and he won't turn us into a top 4 side, not this year anyway. Look at the team, really look at it, they are doing OK but all things are relative.

Let's get real before some on here have their bubbles well and truly burst.

Finally someone posted that Cas will blow us away, WHY? At what point did Cas become as good as Warrington. For heavens sake why the OTT defeatist stuff. We may have our weaknesses but it also takes a good team to spot and exploit them so I say again at what point did Cas become Hudds?

Why do Trinity fans throw the baby out with the bath water. Why when we win do we reckon we are gods gift and the following week when we lose we are utter crap. Why not show a little decorum and take defeat on the chin and move on - well done Warrington by the way for your OMO expected win.

Vasty - it's not the result, or the margin, that was upsetting - rather the complete lack of any semblance of organised rugby - defence or offence.

Cas are not as strong as us, but they are very good movers of the ball and will have a field day out wide with that defence - it was awful.

We have problems - some of our making and some not - but the fomula doesn't look right at this time.

No it doesn't actually. I fully accept that we were as bad as you say. The point is what else do you expect. If you don't think that after the loss of Brough and for me Newton we are not going to be an up and down side you're in for a long season. We are an outside bet who with a bit of luck could trouble the tables, but we will put in some shockers this year. That said the shocker against Hudds was not one we could take for many reasons, this one I won't lose a minutes sleep over.

These games are nothing to do with sliding defences and everything to do with who wants it. Cas could easily win it but that won't make them as good a team as Warrington or Hudds in the same way that both of us beating Leeds doesn't make us champions.

Fair enough - and we'll get back on the horse at some point (and so will I), but it genuinely was an awful preformance - across the park - and you would feel more strongly about it if you'd been (although I appreciate that you have less of an 'emotional' tendency than I do - for better or worse).

I stood with a group of 'grumpy old men' last night and there wasn't a lot good to say. I also stood with my missus, who was so tired out she could barely stand for the whole game - and for what? It certainly bore no resemblance to entertainment!

Its quite interesting that posters on here who didn't go to the game seem to know more about the game than those who went and didn't find the performance "shocking" as some of us who went. I think I know whose opinions on Friday's game are worth listening to.

Also it was me who said that Cas would beat us next Friday if we did not fix the problem we have with the sliding defence and our right hand side. I stand by that comment but we could all stick our heads up our backsides and pretend that we don't have any problems and see what happens.

This is a Forum where we can have our own opinions. You do not have to agree with those opinions as I often don't with other posters but I respect their right to express those opinions.

There are some on here who seem to think they know more than others on here. Maybe they do but we don't need them ramming it down everyone throats all the time - thats just plain arrogant.

icon_lol.gif Your a Trinity fan you should be used to that by now - I think the relative success of the JK years have given us unrealistic expectations at time. Since when was a trip to an in form Wire ever likely to be enjoyable - think of it this way, we have done it to them enough times so fairs fair icon_wink.gif

Fair comment - but I did not go expecting a result - I went expecting some kind of SL standard performance - and did not get it. It really was THAT bad!

If we're honest about these things, look at who's getting the MOM votes. That player is debated often on here, and he deserves all the credit for taking the game to Wire, but if ANY of the other players had played well and stood out then he wouldn't be there, would he? If he's your best player, that means the rest of them are poorer, and that does not make a SL standard performance I'm afraid.
