| Relived thats he's gone but a bit disappointed if Webster is the replacement on a permanent basis. Having said that we all after get behind the guy. It's a fresh start 11 days to get the guys motivated. Thats all I want to some passion from a motivated team whoever the coach is

| You should get an improvement in player performance with a new bloke in charge even if he used to be the assistant. It might not have the effect that a new bloke from outside might have for shaking things up but it was clear that Agar’s time was up.
Is Webster there until the end of the season or until someone else is appointed. If he’s just holding the fort then that’s less good for you lot.
I expect fans to expect clear improvements straightaway. I’d be cautious. When we finally got shut of McNamara it took a whole season before Potter managed to turn things around.

| No idea Bullseye how long the appointment of Webster is. I guess until the end of the season would be a good choice with a review then.
If he can get 3 wins out of them before the end of the season then that would be good.
I'd find it funny if we managed to send Salford down. Now that would be a story.

| Well we've all got what we wanted. Kudos to Agar for stepping down as well, he could have made things difficult.
Hope everyone's ready to get behind that lads vs London now and support Webster to save us from the drop.

So long as it's not us (Bulls).
I think Koukash would spontaneously combust if Salford got relegated.
Alas I think it's between Wakefield and Bradford to go down with London.

| Didn't Glover get slated for his twitter antics......
Am I the only one who thinks he is unprofessional with his twitter comments,
"Due to the amount of 'advice' over the last few weeks I will be expecting a crowd of 17000 against London."
and having a sly pop at Davide Longo, who is Trinity through and through.
this club is turning into a joke top to bottom.....
the damage has been done by the board and Agar we deserve to be relegated on the last 18 months.

| About time, shame it took so long in coming. So is Websters deal just until the end of the season or longer term? Is it a caretaker deal? Is he effectively on trial? Are we looking for a new assistant to help him? I find it strange that no length of agreement was mentioned, it can only lead to further unrest and speculation. Is this a short-term appoinment or long-term?

| Personally at this moment I am more pleased RA has stood down to take in who will take the head coach role. Knowing how he dug in at Ull I couldn't see this
Fair play it him for doing the honourable thing and let's get behind the Club

| Richard is a proven quality coach and a good man.
He's been hounded out by a set of supporters with delusions of grandeur.
Remember you are Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, not a Wigan or a St Helens.

From the link in 1st post, guess this covers that
"All parties felt that with a new coach being decided upon and the club entering the recruitment period, it would be hard to continue in the role, especially with the players knowing I was going. [size=150It would also allow James to start putting into place his plans for next season[/size."

| I'm not sure about the timing of Agar going if it'd be planned for weeks maybe the poor display against Bradford accelerated it? Either way I'm pleased he's gone and it was needed IMHO, the changes with pivots/positions etc seemed chaotic.
Good luck to Agar and Warrington but for me he is a good assistant SL coach.
My family will now be going to the London game with some optimism hoping that those wearing the red, white and blue will play with defensive and offensive structure, with some hard running, quicker defensive line speed and pride in the shirt they are wearing. Good luck to Webster.

| Everyone has a shelf life, unfortunately for Agar his was up. He's a nice guy, and he works tremendously hard but sometimes that isn't enough. This season has been a disaster, some of it was his fault, some was out of his hands and the players must share the blame too. It was clear a change was needed for the team performances to improve and I respect Agar for stepping down.
Best of luck to Webster and hopefully it'll inspire a reaction from the players and getting them playing with pride for the team and themselves, desire, passion and hunger!

| When Millward was sacked, Danny Orr took over from his assistant role and there was a clear difference in the team. Hopefully it works the same for you.

All I can see regarding Davide Longo is that MC is insinuating that Davide is the guy behind SirRichardAgar on Twitter.

| Quote ="Errlee Berd"I'm friends with a player at Wakey, and he's always telling me stories about Agar.
A couple of examples, after the Warrington game, Agar said to the team, "That's them out the way now, so beat Bradford & London and we can get pished for the rest of the season".
Also, they managed to turn up late for their game at MW, and went into the game without a full warm up. Afterwards on the way home, Agar got the coach driver to pull up at a pub to have a pint, nobody else wanted to. Just him and a couple of the coaching staff had a pint, while the squad stood around in the carpark waiting. A lot of the players are tee total.
Might not seem like much, but it just goes to show how unprofessional he is. I'd be very surprised to ever see him back in SL as a head coach.'"
Perhaps to be taken with a pinch of salt, but if even a small part of that is true I'm glad he's gone.
