Which one of us is the small town in Wakefield?

The only consolation is its such a big leap to the next level it probably doesn't get them more points for followers yet, but if they have the equivalent difference in engagements, they have at least 0.2 more than us.

It makes you wonder which is the small town doesn’t it.
Fact is that the vast majority of Wakefield’s population don’t give a monkeys about trinity - unlike Cas where a large percentage of the town seem to live, breath and sleep it!
Other than some good success on the field I don’t know how you’ll get people interested!
Maybe potentially better times ahead may do it?

Lets be real, the dross we had to suffer over the last few seasons was massive interest killer. Things are starting to improve rapidly now Matt owns the club. I expect those numbers to grow as next season develops and i am sure many people will have their Trinity interest revitalised

Glad some of you no how to do twitter, and all the other tec, things Me I have not got a clue . It is bad when S L could be decided by technology .I am not a thick sod, got a good stranded of living ,was able to retire at 61.But all this talk is way over my head . You have also got to factor in that most people in Wakefield work, most people in Cas as well as not having teeth never have, never will and have zero intention of doing a days work, 98% of all adults in Cas have a mobility scooter and a heroin addiction. The amount of benefits claimed in Cas allows all the population to afford mobile phones and other devices and when not smoking, drinking Special Brew in the street, applying to appear on the Jeremy Kyle show they follow the Tigers on social media as the one thing they do have is time on their hands. In conclusion the figures quoted by Pop Tart should not be a surprise to anyone.

Yes but as Ellis has said he is a firm believer in build it and they will come, I.e. get some success on the field and fans will come and thats exactly the same for followers. Let's not forget, its not that long ago Cas were topping the league, going to SL grand finals and challenge Cup finals, I imagine the reach and exposure of been in such games is far beyond any promotion a club do on its own. There is a certain elevation we should get on these numbers purely by doing social media right, which I think we are now doing but as many things with the club, years of cost cutting and not necessarily doing things the right way won't just be turned around in a few months.

Don't think age has anything to do with interaction on social media.
I am 72 and use Facebook, Twitter or X as it now is, and obviously RL Fans.
Apart from current affairs they are a good means of family/ friend contacts and keeping abreast of interests.
In my case Sport, hill walking and outdoor life in general.

YouTube trinity channel has grown from only 300 to 1.9k in 2 weeks or so.

Cas is 350 or so.

That said Facebook is a lesser used platform than it used to be a few years ago. A lot of people use different platforms more commonly now. I think that Facebook for example will be harder to gain followers than say Instagram or YouTube.

It’s worth mentioning that we aren’t and shouldn’t be competing against them but rather against the benchmark. The next point benchmark is the target not Castleford or other clubs.

I do believe that trinity could utilise their recent sponsor deals by asking their followers etc to follow trinity who they have sponsored. Even better a local influencer could be paid to advertise and promote followers. Effectively it could boost numbers.

Yes, of course we should target the benchmark, but its just an example of what other teams already have and where we need to catch up.

Also worth mentioning, it isn't just about "followers" its about interaction/views and click-throughs, which all of these can be done by non-followers

Ithink that player of theres,can't remember his name who appeared recently on a reality show recently [was it Love Island,never watched it myself]must have bumped up there totals on Facebook,Twitter,Instagram etc. His name and Castleford Rugby League club were getting thousands of hits,must have sparked interest in Cas rlfc
