Just over a seasons ago, we were beating Leeds, Saints, Hull, Wigan and Warrington (2020) on a fairly regular basis. Hull and Wigan in particular took some absolute hammerings off us, only Cas seemed impossible to beat. Yes, we lost the thread in 2019 but to any reasonable person that was understandable. Even 2020 had its moments in the end.

Now, those teams seem to be playing a different game. We are not even close. Why? Because we can't play 80 mins, not even 70 which might win you a few games. We have collapsed 3 times at the 50-minute mark, you can almost see the moment it happens, one player makes an error and the team fall to pieces which is about the only thing they currently do well.

It's tragic to watch.

You're right about the last two but it didn't happen against Leeds. Leading 16 - 4 half way through the first half we went in at half time behind 16 - 22. We then got it back at 22 apiece with TJ's second belter and shortly after should have gone ahead when Tupou's break had us with a 3 on 1 we managed to cock up! Leeds scored just one more try in the last half an hour and we lost 22 - 28. I didn't see a collapse in that game, we should have beaten them over the 80. Gotta be tougher, gotta be smarter, gotta stop putting square pegs in round holes and gotta concentrate. St Helens away is a daunting task for ANY team, let's see what we can do this week.

Leeds is the odd one out but it was still a game where we lost composure. At the time it seemed OK but in retrospect, the signs were there. We should have caned Leeds and we conspired to lose.

The really annoying thing is watching us self implode at the 50 odd minute mark, time after time. Like ridiculous penalties seeping in or just plain dumb plays, It’s like watching a car crash in slow motion. With the players sat out this week I’m really worried we won’t even compete in the first half never mind the 2nd. But genuinely we are that Inconsistent we may be really competitive for 80 and do the badge proud.

However in the Wigan and Catalan games our forwards just haven't been able to compete for long enough.
Arona is a fabulous player but, I'm not sure that he's a prop.
Fifita looks like he just isn't bothered, although he looks like that when he's playing well and Green has been very disappointing.
There is a huge lack of confidence which may go some way to explaining why the wheels all come off when something goes against us.
Getting to the thread title, a heavy reverse is likely (30 point margin ?) and it's difficult to see what can change from the last couple of weeks to change the likely outcome.
