| I will go further. I don't believe a single breeze Block, brick or cubic foot of concrete will be laid at Belle Vue, or at least if som kind of development dos happen, it will be the cheapest possible fudge that can be got away with to make the Businss park happen and will be pathetic and inadequete as a 21st century solution for a stadium. But it is more likely NOTHING WILL EVER HAPPEN. I am beyond disillusioned. I am sick to my stomach, sick of Wakefield Council, sick of decades of imbeciles, liars and cheats hanging around Wakefield Trinity. We, I am sad to say are doomed as a top flight outfit unless the day ever comes that we have a local authority with integrity and a genuine interst in fostering the club that bears its name and someone who has the money, intellect and desire to take the club forward. Experience shows this to be highly unlikely...and I'm sick of cloak and dagger drivel and hint hints too! Heard it ALL before

| well I nip out to take the lad training and there's another good thread to read up on
so it looks like the cats out of the bag eh!!
now many of you are feeling so sorry for selves for being strung along again, now this is the reason why the lads have been putting so much effort back into Belle Vue, there was nothing official before we started and there still isn't now, what I do know is that its been to quite for such a long time and I for one and a few more are willing keep this club going.
if we have had double the support down here painting, tidying, and general fixing up of the old girl then this would of been done weeks ago instead we are just plodding along.

| Redeveloping BV has always been a best result for me and I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a fall back bargaining position if NM dragged on.
If the NM development was to go forward, which it appears it has started to, one way or another we were in a good position for either the new stadium or (if the land could be better used or it dragged on) a lump of cash towards securing BV and redeveloping it.
For me NM was/is too far away from the city of Wakefield and only the fact that it appeared to be our saviour made it palatable.
For me (at least) this is very good news!!

Sick to the back teeth of the cloak and dagger nature of all this where some can know but others can't, it's plans for a rugby stadium for Christ's sake not MI6. false statements and lack of movement, excuse after excuse for nothing happening.
It's not a pop at you TRB but I'm fed up of it all!'"
Sounds a bit harsh as TRB and IA and others have put in do much time and effort but I do get your drift.
Who needs another empty statement?!?!

| like others im losing the will to be interested in wtrlfc, newmarket was a no brainer anyway as i have been scorned on here for saying for years, the so-called fans wont walk to bv rather than watching sky in the pub, never mind actually getting a nose bleed with a 4 mile journey.
as for the doogooders, please continue to do good and i respect that and you as loyaler fans than me, but to be honest, 10 yearsa go i would have been there, but, and i hate this quote, it feels ike rearranging the deckchairs on the titanic.

Exactly.
I have nothing but respect for those who have kept Belle Vue going with their voluntary work over the past few months but this is not a solution to the long term future of the club. Nor is keeping the ground just within stadium regulations as Snowie's post seems to say. Stronger bits of this, painted that..it's still a stadium erected in the 20th Century...not even all of it is still there! I am not throwing the toys out. I think we have a justifiable right to be well hacked off by the confimation of what we always suspcted but were reassured was not the case. This Newmarket affair has been one promise after another. It seems some new this all for a fact...well great to know that those of us who just travel 120 mile round journeys are the last to know (though we always did know really) that this stadium is another farce in the long running embarrassment series we have to put up with. Like some posters, I am at the end of my tether. I dare say at some point I will be back but this web of smoke screens and lies is not for me at the moment.

| What a crock of poop...
Been stringed along again.
We haven't got the money
We haven't got the space
We don't even own the bloody ground.
Pay extortionate rent.
What has become evident is that the mere basics of a structurally sound development are floored.
Gonna be another bodge job.
Planning permission for years..
Refused.. appeal.. then where relegated dont need a new stadium.
Nothing
What about this 108 agreement? Or whatever.. aren't the buildings selling quickly enough.
Realistically with P&R there is no quick need to move into the stadium.
This new stadium was going to make us a viable club for the next 100 years..
with all sorts of facilities and income streams.. this means where going to be a penniless club going from one struggle/crisis to another.
Absolute garbage..
Had enough of these ground shambles with Wakefield I'm only 25.. and in my time supporting the club we must have been going to about 7 locations.
NOT HAPPY!
BV is a sentimental home where memories have been shared but in order to move forward as a big club we all believe it can be.. we cannot be at BV. Just cannot be.

| The stadium cost was stated as £19 million and that would have included the laying of a pitch which will not now be needed.
So when YCP announce their plans for Belle Vue I expect it to be amazing for £19 million

| Well I hope that buying the ground back if part of the deal as at new market the rent was going to be lower
