| He could do some great things but wasn't doing great things often enough and we all know what his defence was like mind saying that he would be well at home on that score at the moment with some of the players.

Maybe if you throw in a bit extra...
I wouldn't want any player at Wakefield who doesn't want to be here to be honest.

Short career got to take what you can get. Hope he does well for Salford gets some slack he doesn't deserve as the majority of us in his position would do the same especially when he's 28/29.

There is a reason that he is getting slagged off by the Salford fans.......... He is a below average player'"
Could not agree with you more - absolutely amazing business getting any sort of fee for him - without doubt the most over rated player ive ever seen in a wakey shirt and the most incredible business getting shut. he is garbage. and couldn't tackle a sunday dinner.

| Not a lot love going round for Timmy, even though he made Danny Kirmond one of the most potent back rowers of last season. DK ran some brilliant lines off TS short passes. He could`nt tackle but we moved him out wide in defence, and that is the main problem at Belle Vue, we cannot carry players who can only excel in one part of their game.

| Tim Smith has some excellent qualities and to slag him off as rubbish is off the mark for me.
However, his defence wasn't one of his qualities and he would be totally the wrong player in our team at the moment!
In a good team with good defenders round him he would still probably shine. I seem to remember him being applauded by many on here in the 7 match run of wins!

| It's OK looking at Sneyd with the hindsight of this season under Powell. He was dire last year. The only player I can recall who ever kicked out 4 times on the full in one game! (down at Belle Vue during last seasons drawn game).

Agree with this completely. He made DK look great at times last year.
Although he wouldnt have helped with our current defensive issues, the one key area i feel we have really missed him is his chat. Even when we/he werent playing well he was there organising everything, pushing and pulling forwards into position, telling them exactly what he wanted. This is something i think we have lacked in buckets this year, maybe through the fact we have new players to the club in the halves, maybe because the people that are there dont have that in there game??
I think leadership is seriously lacking at the mo. Even DK when there doesnt appear to be great talker. On the many times i have seen us behind our own sticks this year, the only people i see getting vocal are Mcshane and maybe Sammut on occasions. Outside of that there is nobody getting them together until Stu Dickens appears with the water. I personally think this is why we have resorted to Sykes back in the 6 jersey, to give us some sort of experienced guidance. Unfortunately, i think he has just gone round 1 too many times.

| Smith defence was awful but his attack was very good and if we were playing Sammut at stand off and Godinet at scrum half then no i wouldn't want Smith back. But seeing as our best halfbacks are currently playing fullback and interchange hooker then yes i'd have him back to play alongside Sykes again as he is streets ahead of Siejka at this point in time in all facets of the game i'm afriad.
