| Pleased brought will be back he deserves the right to decide when he retires rather than the cruel fate of injury.
I think tHough that you are seeing a bit of the frustration Giants had for him. He needs to learn to adapt to plying with another half ‘rather than trying to control everything around him as it stifles those around him.
He could do it 6 years ago when at his peak but he cannot do everything by himself but has not come to terms with it.

| We haven’t had a quality half since Tim Smith for me we should be looking to bring in an Aussie who’s not making the grade in the NRL. Like we tried with Harry Siejka

| Partially agree there Dreadnought, although Miller has had good moments, but for me lacks consistency, and hasn't developed that all round half back game I was hoping for.
You mention Tim Smith, I would say his first spell, his second was somewhat of a damp squib.
I would have looked to bring in a quality one for last season, and not someone who was even older than the one we previously had.
I just think in our squad, we have 3, maybe 4 players who could make the 13 shirt their own, 4 players vying for the second row spots, not to mention two other ageing players who can play there, which when we are at full strength, cant see them playing too many minutes. I wont mention the front row, as we are thin there for a few more weeks.
My point, do we really need all them, and could we not have gone that extra mile, and brought in a quality 7.

A quality 7 would cost quality money, something we don't have allegedly, that's assuming there are any available to pick from on the quality No 7 tree, I haven't a scoobie how much it's cost to bring Maloney and Sezer over, but I'm willing to bet that Mr Carter could only dream about bringing that sort of quality here to Bellevue.

| Little Wayne, I know quality players dont come cheap, I'm well aware of that.
Nobody is saying a Sezer or Maloney, and real big names like that isn't our way, and is a huge gamble for any club, as it's a chunk of the cap gone if, say, they get injured.
Personally, I thought the likes of Williams and Randell were of good quality, but had only played what 50 or so games in the NRL before coming over to us, whereas Sezer and Maloney, triple those NRL appearances.
My point was take Broughs salary, and another player from one of those forwards I summarised, and you could be a good way towards a quality player.

| Sad news for DB - and I hope the message that he'll be back in a few weeks is accurate; would hate to see his career ended like this, instead of on his own terms.
Is this now an opportunity for Hampshire, Miller and Jowitt to prove a point? They get to step up to cover the injuries, and give us a glimpse of what our spine would look like without DB - which must be where we were headed next season anyway? I guess the best outcome would be for Broughy to get fit again, but for Miller/Hampshire to have worked so well, that CC has a genuine selection dilemma.
Meanwhile, best wishes to Broughy - I wouldn't wanna be looking after him when he can't play - I bet he's the worst patient ever.

Not trolling Bren and apologies if I have read this wrong but are you seriously suggesting that Miller hasn't been given a fair chance?
