The game certainly should go ahead, and I'd hope that plenty of WTW fans will make their feelings about RW's intervention in the PI absolutely clear - I know I will.

It's quite simple, we don't need to lower ourselves to RW's standards. If you feel that strongly about what he wrote, don't go to the game or WR in future. Donate the entry you'd have spent their to WTW via Sponsorship, Merchandise or simply cash.
RL doesn't stop for one man's mistake.

This pretty much a 13 year old girl arguement
He said something to us that is emotive. We start saying we are not talking to him and won't play the game any more.....we are sinking to his level.
The pre season is important for
1) a bit of revenue
2) supporters to see some new faces (in our case no matter who he picks!)
3) and most importantly, a tune up game so we are ready to go when season starts
Why give that up because someone we already didn't really respect very much said some stupid things.

I don't feel there is a need to boycott at all, but if some feel that strongly, as has been shown on other threads then don't go. There is always an option, i'll be there, but i can understand if people do not want to visit WR on that basis |

Apart from the rather emotive first sentence, some interesting points.
A genuine question - if the outcome of the PI is that the Inspector has been convinced that there is no need to allow the stadium to be built on green belt as WTW can play at GH, will you feel the same way?
I think it's too early to dismiss RW's intervention as meaningless; this one could run and run. |
