We need all the funding we can get so in that sense I couldn't care less whether people see the light switch to Trinity from another team! Having said that they could disappear just as quickly as they arrived so again it's not really building a solid support base to help sustain the club long term.

Back to merchandise, best we've had for quality selection and looks good, spoilt for choice.

But does it really matter though? If we had a bit of success and 1000 glory supporters turned up we'd be far more likely to sustain that success. Personally I'd be far too busy enjoying us being successful to care.

Glory supporters and turncoats are not the same thing. One turns up only when we are doing well which is annoying but I accept it. A turncoat has actively supported another club and applauded said club to the rafters when they have beaten us probably in our darkest moments.

That does matter to me and personally I'd neve ever accept them back - parasites like that ultimately destroy clubs because they jump ship when we need them most.

So you may not care now but you sure as hell will later down the line.

Who cares, just because we couldn't swap our teams at will doesn't mean anyone else can't. It's bizarre to me but their cash is as good as ours when it comes to running the club.

I care and so do others - what's bizarre is that someone who's user name is I hate cas doesn't, which makes me think your beyond bizarre and incredibly shallow.

If I ever get to see Wakey play at Wembley, I wouldn't want someone who "supported" Cas or Leeds or any other club the previous year stood beside me.

Of course financially there money is just as good. Doesn't mean I have to like it.

You can yawn if you want but it's not half as tiresome as someone who doesn't get the difference between a glory supporter and a turn coat. I'll give you my definitions as tbd they may not be the same as yours and see what you think.

Glory fan: Someone who supports Trinity but only when they are doing well and they tend to pick and chose their games. No problem here, all clubs have them and they are an indicator and a reward for the teams success.

Bandwagon jumpers: Don't really get these people but they are harmless enough. They tend o go with the crowd and will often support a team short term because their mate does or girlfriend does or it's just the thing to do.A bit shallow but what the hell.

Casuals: People who just watch the game not the teams and thus tend to gravitate towards top teams. No issue.

[size=150Turn coat: [/sizeSomeone who has actively supported one club from the start. These people are often very vocal and opinionated in there support. You'll often find them at the front of the crowd giving opposition fans a hard time. Then something upsets them and before you know it they full belt supporting a team they previously hated with a passion. A passion they then turn against their old club. These people I simply can't abide and would never want back, why on earth would you - would you invite Rosemary West into your family knowing what you do? I know that's an extreme example but it makes the point.

There is one other group of fans that Wakefield has far to many of and that's those who have fallen out with the club. That list is way to long and sadly I understand their issues and they need addressing - there is a massive wedge of cash there and in most cases all it would take is a SORRY to get them back.

Rugby is about entertainment. Yes, there are emotional attachments that can go back years, but I won't criticise anyone who will only choose to pay money to be entertained when it is entertaining.

Call them what you want, but all of those groups of fans youve mentioned will only come when the times are good. If we can have some good times then we'll get their money. That money can then be used to keep the good times coming which will keep them coming.

I'm shallow as well Pop Tart. I really couldn't care less who's standing next to me as long as they're shouting for Trinity. I can't understand how anybody can change allegiance but I'd be happy for a thousand 'turncoats' to start coming to games.

Some good merchandise in the shop & spent more in the shop yesterday than I have done ever before, I went over my salary cap but hopefully worth it.

Seems to be going well. Went in for a polo shirt today and they said that as soon as stuff comes in it's going out. With the rebranding it seems a lot of people want to be in the new kit with the new logo and name.

The other day Michael Carter said that total sales in the shop was 153% up on last season & shirt sales by 75%. I wonder how many extra season ticket sales that would equate to if you put the profits into ticket sales ?

Amazing what a new badge and a couple of cracking shirts can do. I have't seen those figures but saw on his twitter I think that we'd had recording breaking sales at the club shop the past few days after the merch was released.

Like you say it would be interesting to know, especially when everyone has done their shopping at the Shop say before the season starts , how much difference it was from previous year, monetary wise.

Quick note on shirts folks.
Some sizes of both home and away shirts have sold out, with new stock due after Christmas, so, if you're wanting shirts for Christmas you'd better get them quick.
