| Tell you what you can do with your "context", shove it up where the sun don't shine! There is no excuse for today's "performance", and surprise surprise the usual suspects come rushing to Agar's defence.

| The context for me , is that we get beaten by the same margin, with a full squad as Bradford have with a patched up, get what players they can squad.

| Quote: Scarlet Pimpernell "Have we been I in the bottom two positions whilst Agar in charge - No.
Has he had to rebuild the squad nearly every season - Yes.
The players he signed for nothing under his coaching did their value not increase to such a point that the money the club earned kept it in existence - Yes.
I would say not a bad report for such a poor coach but why let facts get in the way of your own personal prejudice.'"
Im not sure you can actually quantify that,as we didnt need to pay a fee to sign the players as they were out of contract and we then made them available whilst under contract.
Applying your theory in reverse Gareth Ellis must have received some shocking coaching at Leeds, they paid Wakefield a fee for him and four years later he went to Wests for ZERO.

| Quote: trin77 "Utter BS. Are you actually Richard Agar? So because we play a form team we should not put any effort in concede 50 and just accept it and move on? Agar has had everything at his disposal to do well at Wakefield, don't give me the adversity card either every player sold has been replaced with equivalent quality.
The fact is he is duff he's getting the same results has Kear's last season who had nothing but kids and has beens to work with.'"
Kears performances were BETTER with that side!

| I agree that Cas played very well and dominated us like the slightly too soft team we were. What I can't understand is where our urgency in attack and play of the ball went from last Friday night?
The main difference between the two sides all games was the urgency to play the ball and make quick meters to gain momentum running at the line. This was also present in most of Huddersfield's attack today. The whole 80 minutes of our game I saw none in Cas's 20. We never looked like threatening that line and we never utilised Walshaw when we got down there only just to get a few meters in the middle of the field.
So I ask what changed in a few days? The effort was there and the performance wasn't as many are saying dreadful but the urgency and decision making was terrible. The decision making is not coaching all the time its the players making instinctive decisions that cost us a few tries. The urgency in playing the ball is part of the coaching for me as well as the players determination.

| Context for me....
We're sat at the half way stage of the season......around 8/9 months ago we were in absolute turmoil and looked totally doomed for this season.....we've had a number of people work incredibly hard behind the scenes to give us a fighting chance in what is the most important Super League season for many a year with relegation back....
12th place was always the target for this season....anyone, and I mean anyone would have bitten your hand off for that when all our problems became apparent....
Now at the half way stage we sit there in 12th with 4 wins against our names.....4 good wins aswell....we've probably lost a game or 2 we should maybe have won (Bradford Home) but won a couple that maybe we shouldn't (Hull/Widnes)....we've been awful in games a plenty but we've also played well in a couple and not got what we deserved outta the game....Salford (a) Saints (h)......so, all told thats at least 6 good performances from 13....nearly 50%.....for a team put together like ours at the last minute I dont think that's the worst return in the World overall?
Then onto the big subject of changing the coach....
Agar knows these players and has steadily progressed over the last few months, trying to find the best combinations etc...despite today's dreadful efforts and performance I still believe the players are playing for him and are right behind him.....2 season ago we had a very similar team put together and a similar start to the season....in the 2nd half of the season we ended with the 7 straight wins, so Agar already has form in the book for improving a late put together scratch side and getting results in the 2nd half of the season....I certainly think he's well capable of getting us enough to avoid the drop....
If we were to bring someone new in surely finance would dictate that they would be untried and untested thus making it a huge gamble and one that could set the side back weeks....can we afford to do that in such a crucial season?
For me, there is no-one out there for the price who could potentially get us as many wins in the 2nd half of the season as Agar could....whether he is the man to take us to another level should we avoid relegation and be financially well off enough to sign better players, then that is definitely open to debate....for me though he must stay this season....
Very tough loss today, but you've got to give credit where it's due and say Cas were just way too good for us on the day, and they are a side playing very, very well this season....just hope we can bounce back in the coming weeks....keep the faith...

| Has a major critic of agars team selections, players he's drafted in and drafted out, his non existent motivation skills, I have to admit to not attending today but watched the game on TV and expected the cameras half time visit to our dressing room to see an attentive group of players and a coach walking about showing his anger latching on to certain players with his views on where they went wrong and how theyed better put it right, what I did see was a chap sat in a chair surrounded by a group of players having a friendly chat, I can assure you to get your point across in these circumstances coats are thrown in the corner, plenty of ffing and blinding and being vocal to the tune of having no control of your spit, and if you don't agree you've never been there

| Were the cameras in there from the moment the players walked back in to the moment they walked back out?
If not, how do you know how he spoke to the players throughout the whole h/t break?

| What was missing today was hearts and guts, and that's down to the coach. Agar didn't coach Sykes to make an awful defensive read, nor Sejka to kick so badly, but he did send them out with no passion or belief.
If we beat London and Bradford, and Bradford don't get too many points back, I'll probably endure what we have to the end of the season, but the least we should expect is for players to turn up.
If we lose to Bradford, Agar has got to go and get a shouter and bawler in to rescue the season, but I wonder whether Agar's mate gave him a contract that is too expensive to get out of.

| If we want to defend Agar and use the "We won Seven on the trot" then yes we did but what an element of luck that was as we still let plenty of points in out wide as we have under all of Agars term with the club.I can put up with a loss to any side if the effort is on show but alas that effort was not on show again.Dont expext a win at Bradford on that showing as though Bradford were shot at the end of the game they had they at least put the effort in.Even games we have won we have let some real soft scores in against us.

| Haha, no definitely not one of those mate....wish I was on their money though!
Just say it as I see it....
For all the Agar out stuff I've yet to see one person give a realistic shout to someone we could afford to bring in....and get me thinking....ya know what he would get us more wins than Agar would in the latter half of the season....

| I think Agar is running out of time. Theres a few reasons really. For one, I dont believe that Carter gave him a 3 year deal, more likely to be Elston. Secondly, most coaches in Super League have a 3 year life span, sometimes even the successful ones, I dont see enough consistency at the moment in the side and that has to fall with the coach. Thirdly, this type of performance has happened too many times now this season. The Hull Kr away, Leeds in the Challenge Cup and Castleford today have been non events and its not acceptable to be out of a game after 30 minutes especially for supporters who pay there hard earned cash to watch it. I dont give a dam if we win/lose or draw as long as we put the effort in and today was another one of those shocking performances.

| No doubt we will need to work on things in training and we were improving and we need to give the new players time. For heavens sake Agar stop wanting to be everyones best mate and tell it like it is and get this lot motivated if that means they aint your best mate no more then tough you are the Coach and that for me is the context of the matter.
