Tim Smith has played well for the majority of the season. Sadly some fans are too blinkered to accept it or are just as thick as mince.

I'm baffled by it too. Smith organises all the plays puts all the plays on and today he was organising the defense at times. When he's giving the drop off it's because he's either setting up for the next play or hasn't got the runners available in order for him to hit another pass. Someone said to me he doesn't take the line on enough but again this is due to lack of runners. If he hasn't got options either side of him then he can't dummy to fresh air. Some people just don't understand the game and think its more simple than it actually is. One fan even slated him for the reverse kick he it in for one of our tries and then when he realised we had scored he said it was lucky because the full back was out of place!

You may well be right. I was at the game but my sister listened to it on the radio and she texted saying they'd said he played 80. They may have got it wrong.

Aubrey it's because he's an aussie? Don't understand it at all, virtually everything we do comes off smith!

I thought when we were under the cosh early 2nd half Agar saw what was happening and brought off the 2 young lads Trout and Johnson and brought Raleigh and Ali back on. This for me stopped the onslaught and helped turned the game as they both had stormers.

| On leaving the ground one Wakey supporter commented that he couldnt believe we won when we played so poorly! Fans need to get behind the team and stop bagging them.

Good. Always hard to be sure but he has a pass to scare the opposition and didnt get picked up by Wigan for no reason. I have a sneaking feeling he would be very impressive behind a stronger pack. I am happy to see how that one goes next year. Well done today Wakey. I couldnt be there, but credit where its due; a win in our usual graveyard is worthy of some note!

Someone sat near us slated him for a no-look pass, for "not even looking!"
Isn't that the point - the old Benji Marshall, dummy with the eyes, kind of move?!

| We need to get Timmy signed up ! Lack of Halfbacks around at the moment - You only have to look at Saints and Wigan fighting for a average halfback in Matty Smith earlier this season - He`s been one of our best players this season along with Aiton an co and now in my eyes has done enough to earn an extension - Give him 2 Years !

I agree - with a bit of security and some better quality players around him, he'll be outstanding; I'd like to see him tied up for a couple of years.
Are any of our young players coming through in that position who could be groomed to take over?

| Not so long ago people wanted smith on the next available flight back to Oz amazing what happens when you give players abit of time and settled with a regular half back partner. He was MOTM and rightly so
