Two tier stand on east side with hospitality on top level and exhibition and conference facilities underneath.New west stand and north stand steps sorting knock flats on south side down and new stand full length. No need to move it round job done.
With exhibition facilities it opens income up at the right price there are hundreds of hobbys where people are looking for new venues to do a show,Cars,Motor Cycles, pets, collectors fairs etc the list is endless.

Yes we know for years we have had one thing after another said and promised but for me I have always thought NM was to far out of town and we would have seen a down turn in casual walk up and pay at the gate fans.

This could all end in tears, I never thought Newmarket would come off, and who says the bank will want to sell the land as planning and designs have been put forward for housing on the site. Also do york court have to give any funding?! Are they tied to the club or just providing a sports complex for wtc? They are getting a new stadium by the look of it in cass!

Sorry to be so negative but this is one more disappointment for me... I do hope we can get the land back and do as some of you have suggested even try to include a gym that could replace oasis giving more land! But until something is confirmed my head is staying out of the clouds

WTW might get a couple of million from Yorkcourt to tart-up Belle Vue (the Stadium) if your lucky. It looks to me like you have been well and truly played by Yorkcourt. The emphasis on only building the new stadium if X amount of square metres of plot were bought-up is the down fall as many on here have warned about.
I do totally agree with the comments about some supporters not wanting that location in the first place though. I said from day one that it was too far out-of-town and its unsuitability would cause a down turn in support so IMO staying at BV could be the right option afterall.

If only that were the major issue.

So after 15 pages deliberating, are York court gona buy the land and pay towards development as a cheaper option to NMR. Personally not fussed if we stay or go to NMR as long as the development happens

Keep franchises out of our game:

A statement from the club on the official website might stop all the speculation. I think it's time they made a definite decision to stay at Belle view assuming the ground can be bought back or secured on along lease. Then see what funds if any are available and draw up plans based on those funds.

Quote: Sandal Cat "I know some will be happy at the thought of staying at Belle Vue and others disappointed at not going to Newmarket.

Some of us have been campaigning for a new stadium for quite a long time and have given up their time in an effort to make it happen.

I have not put as much time in as some like TRB and IA but I have spent many hours of my time on the project and gave evidence at the Public Inquiry and to be honest I'm totally peed off with the decision to remain at Belle Vue when we believed and were told that Newmarket would happen.

I'm sure more will come out in the next few weeks but we are where we are and we now have to see how Belle Vue is going to be redeveloped but don't lose sight of the fact that if it had not been for all the time and effort put in by the likes of TRB and IA we would not even be talking about redeveloping Belle Vue, we would have absolutely nothing.

I know many of us are brassed off and disappointed with this news, and I know no one has yet, but FFS don't turn on or blame the guys who have given their all to bring about a new stadium at Newmarket, they are as hacked off as some of you.'"

24 hrs on, it is no better. You and the other mentioned advocates pushed a new stadium. Newmarket was exactly what we needed and some decent planning and promotion could have got fans up there. Belle Vue is not a development option I can ever see happening. We have no money. There is not the space. We have been made fools of by somebody and I feel the hard woking people involved who post on here have been tricked. It is a failure and a fiasco the sadly follows our name like a virus

Quote: PHe "Don't ever play poker AS we all did Im sure, I went to look for a statement. As ever, none. PATHETIC. I really do ask myself why I support this club sometimes. I think of the family involvement and great memories, then I recall exactly this kind of hopeless pathetic lack of care or respect for the fans in a crisis, that leaves us looking at a blank page from the club we support. Useless.

The club are of course part of these negotiations, but it is not they who will own the new or re-developed ground, that would be the Trust, as we all agree that this is the best vehicle for obtaining funds.

I am not going to offer any promises, or guarantees, as there have been too many failures, but we have far from given up on what we started, which was to provide a Stadium for Wakefield.

NM was our goal, as we thought it could be delivered (and it isn't a completely closed door just yet), but BV looks more likely.

There have been many ideas and suggestions as to what can be done and I can't say what areas will be done, but we are working on getting the pot of money as big as possible so that as much as possible can be.

It is important to recognise what we can still achieve at NM, as if we can provide a suitable training facility, that will be a massive advance on the nomadic existence of our club in this regard.

The other interesting point is the complete split of supporters over this. Some are distraught, others delighted, others still disappointed but accepting. We always thought that the older the generation the more connected to BV they would feel and that a new stadium would appeal more to younger/ future generations. Assuming we stick with BV, perhaps we can achieve the best of both worlds?

Like many on here I'm a keen supporter, season ticket holder, 1873 member etc, and have been through thick and thin for many years.
I don't expect anything for nothing. I fully appreciate we are at the mercy of others for the provision of anything in the way of NM or BV.
All that said, respect costs nothing and it would cost nothing to officially feed the genuine supporters some information as to what has gone wrong here, have the trust, WMDC, the SOS, the club been hoodwinked? Surely not but you cannot blame people for thinking such.
Why all the secrecy? it just brasses me off frankly I've seen so much of it I really feel the supporters of this great club deserve better. Quite frankly I really feel like saying stuff it I'll look elsewhere for entertainment!

Spot on post, would be nice to have some words from the club if possible.

I understand we are at the mercy of others but can't help feel we are second class customers in all this.

Its doing a lot of harm to the fan base.
