Seems like there are a few of us knocking about in HD8 or on the Wakefield / Huddersfield border. Strangely not many Giants fans around here though? I've chatted to Trinity fans in my surrounding area when I've had my colours on and been stopped in the street or in the supermarket etc. Grange Moor, Lepton, Waterloo, Flockton, Bretton to name a few.

I got my tickets on Sunday afternoon about 5.30 from the internet. They only seemed to be available for west paddock wherever that is> I will bring my compass .

No idea how many Giants fans will be there but I would expect a good showing.

As for Covid what a fook up the government is making of this with people now told not to travel to or travel from Kirklees but that not being announced or publicised just added to the government website.

I am travelling from Durham so am safe to mix with people from Wakefield . Anyone else with a giants shirt I would keep away from !!

Will Westerman be playing ? As from what I have seen he seems to be your new Danny Kirmond inspiring players around him. I actually thought he might have been a bit of a pension plodder but he seems to have been superb from what I have seen.

Other than Johnstone we’ll be pretty much full strength, Kyle Wood is expected to be back. Big Dave still has sore ribs but he can play through it, he’s not seen his ribs for 20 years anyway.

He's been good from day one but I think most Trin fans will agree that it's taken the rest of the team a while to get up to speed with him.

Despite only one win, Westerman has been far more integrated this year than last when he was basically plowing his own furrow. In the last two games in particular he's led the charge and now the lads seem to know when to follow.

I'm amazed, even if he wasn't pension-picking I never expected him to find such great format 32.

Huddersfield were informed that a number of Western Paddock tickets would be going on general sale by the Wakefield club and asked them to circulate the message among their fans to buy for that section of the ground apparently from what i was told, this was because Wakefield feared they would have a surplus they couldn't sell so decided to open it to away fans 1st and then see how many were left.

Maybe your home support could join them and get a minibus between you both

Just check your attendance figures over the last few years mate. I think you will find Wakey are behind us.

I'm rather bothered on the basis that the Govt have now said there should be no unnecessary travel form Kirklees, due to an outbreak of Covid.

Get this wrong now and we are back to square one for the rest of the season. If we survive that long.

Well looking on this forum the majority of Wakey fans are from Kirklees so they won’t be able to cross the imaginary border from Kirklees into Wakefield where Covid is all fine and dandy!!!!
Should be a good game with plenty of fans from both clubs in attendance to hopefully make a decent atmosphere.

Unless they are going to start putting guidance/restrictions on neighbouring administrative areas, they can only apply this to the actual areas affected - Kirklees.
