The same can be said about young Rocky ! Not given a proper chance and has been offered a insult of a contract offer in a way offloading him to makeway for someone else in his position.

| Is this where an A-team would be better than loans/DR?
Out of sight, out of mind.
If the reserve league was done properly, giving 2 games every week at BV (First team and Reserves on alternate weeks with others as pre-match i.e. 19s, Women, PDRL, 9s, community/schools...)
The season ticket holders would get better value for money and see the up and coming stars playing for the RWB.
If the fans could see players such as Jordy pulling up trees, there may be more pressure on first team places.
If they played on a fixed time schedule (3pm Sunday?) it could become habit forming if you know there will be a match every weekend.

If you help somebody as you go along then your life hasn't been in vain: |

You need JC's stats from Super League games to compare with our current team.
I like him and would keep him but he isn't a starter yet for me.
In pre season Jordan played against two SL sides and recorded.
21 tackles in 27 minutes v Leeds.
16 tackles in 31 minutes v Giants.
Annakin is 27 and Horo 32, Jordan is 21.
Its difficult to get exact comparisons poptart when he hasn't played any games and there's the age factor (Peak of a forward is 26-32+) but I think from you saying you'd keep him, you get the picture regarding work rate, tackles etc.

How was it an insult of a contract? Highly emotive accusation to chucking the club's way. Are you in possession of some facts?

Hence my point now is the time to recall him an give him some game time this kid if coached right is a star for the future a local lad who loves the club he plays for pretty much like our coach maybe this is the problem he reminds him of himself too much.

| Well I certainly wouldn't let him go until he had had a a run in the first team for a number of games, which to be fair, he simply hasn't had.
Somebody saw some talent in him as a kid and surely he hasn't lost that!

How is that anything like Chester?
Chris Chester never showed an ounce of interest in playing for Wakefield, he preferred Halifax, Wigan, Hull F.C., Hull KR but not Wakefield!

As a player Chester wore his heart on his sleeve as a player and was always so involved in the clubs he played for, whether that was at Wakefield is irrelevant for me, it still shows that quality in him.
As a bloke, Chester is Wakefield through and through, he is and has been heavily involved in the amateur game throughout Wakefield all throughout his career.

| Also to suggest he `Preferred` those other clubs, maybe he did as he had a family to provide for - Do you begrudge Gaz Ellis for not having an ounce of interest in staying at Wakefield? He still had enough interest to buy a ticket to come watch us play when he was at Leeds.

There's a solid enough argument he was too good to be at Wakefield for most of his career.

Probably. But, weren't Nigel Bell and Dave Topliss to name only two?
The term that people are Wakefield through and through really only applies to fans since the fully professional era. I'm sure every player has his price. Maybe David Solomona is a rare example who didn't go back on a verbal promise to sign when others waved the cheque book?

Loyalty from a player perspective is very rare these days in any sport due to the amount of money involved and the briefness of their careers. Remember for them this is a job, and if someone else came and offered you double your current wages to go do the same job for their company there's not many that would turn it down.
Although I do believe that Kirmond also turned down larger offers to remain with us when he was in his prime???
