Hampshire played well in the Leeds and Hull. The potential with Miller was there for all to see.Faster ball along the line good balls in the air etc.Jowitt did not look out of place either.Chester should have left it as it was instead of going back to Finn and Grix.It as cost us big time this season. And the playing of Finn cost us big time at M Weekend and the C Cup .Fan keep saying Jowitt is not as good as Grix at joining the line but think the first try against Wigan showed that he is, and at a faster pace and he can throw out a nice cut out pass .Get them both signed up now

Ryan said in an interview previously that his package at Trin is worth less than half of what he was on at Leigh so not sure what he would be expecting from a new deal. Must be a difficult one for the club, ideally we'd have seen more of him in the halves so they knew whether he was going to be consistent enough to be first choice next year. That needs to be decided before they can decide how much they are willing to offer.

Personally hope we can get him a to sign an extension and that he has the 7 shirt next year.

Ryan came close to MOM for me last night. Great in attack and I recall a crunching tackle on a forward near our line at the Hospitality end in the 2nd half

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. RH cannot be praised too highly yet because he hasn't proved himself for long enough.
For exactly the same reason he cannot be knocked either, particularly for when he's been played at FB, which he clearly isn't.
I'm happy enough to give the lad a run at SH. I concur with everyone else that he looked good last night and who knows how much more to come - if he maintains his promise then get him on a long term contract.

This^

Is he the 7 we need ?
Well, not yet.
He did pretty well last night but if that's his peak, I suppose it'll all still hang in the balance by season end.
I feel sure he can be much closer to what we need just by being the starting 7 for an extended period, it takes time to develop understanding, your job and what the team needs from you, there is no substitute for game time and training sessions with the relevant personnel.
He has boat loads of talent, applying it is the tricky part.
Barring injury and finance (hey, we all gotta put food on the table) I don't see why he wouldn't make the position his.

I was impressed with his defence in tonight’s game. I particularly remember a one on one he made near our line.

Yeah, Liam Farrell ran a good line and Hampshire got his body in the way to stop an otherwise certain try.
