So, so fickle. No surprise. "Together We Are Stronger" when it suits.

We worked hard, and didn't quite get what we deserved for the effort. Losing by 9 points over two games against the Champions is something we can take many positives from and improve on.

Going for the two points at the time we did was the correct call for me....we'd soaked up a lot of pressure and defended really well.....it was a chance to settle things down and go 8 points ahead.....

Smith's failure to convert a simple kick he would probably nail 99 times out of every 100 ultimately cost us the game in the end......with those 2 points on the board Mariano scores inside the last ten minutes and we go 7 points clear....

Leeds dropped a goal with 16 minutes left on the clock.....it's called taking points and getting them on the board in a tight game.....

100% right decision for me and that miss cost us the game.....great effort from the lads though.....we miss Sykes so bad it's untrue.....very underated player and the perfect compliment to Tim Smith......was a huge blow losing Kirmond minutes before the game too....

Certainly two points dropped tonight I feel.....Leeds will be delighted with the 2 points in a game we should have won.....Sinfield also played his part and came through with vital game time and more than played his part with his boot....

Definitely missing that. Leeds could play with no fullback safe in the knowledge that if Trinity did make a break they could recover. Trinity are extremely vulnerable to broken field running due to the lack of pace in the side.

Sorry don't agree what cost us the game was 2 individual error's Tim Smiths grubber kick and Lee Smiths out on the full at kick off.Both these led to 12 points to Leeds and they cost us the game.
Having said that a good team effort by the Wakey boys.

That Ablett try that got Leeds back in front late on was an absolute joke by the way......he was in front of Sinfield when he kicked it for starters.....so offside.....then he tackled Tim Smith round the neck and pushed him out of the way.....the grounding looked dubious too......would have 100% been disallowed with a video ref there for me....

I still think Lee Smith's missed penalty was a crucial factor in the end though...

Yes, we played well on the whole tonight. Fantastic intensity at times. We had some bad luck; you cannot legislate for the Jones-Bishop try. Error count right down but sadly again, a couple of bloopers cost us, though in that heat I don't think you can be too harsh. A fantastic effort, a good match and a great atmosphere. My only real gripe is why Lynne on the bench when Kirmond had to pull out? I couldn't see the point in that pre match and nor, would it seem, did Agar during it, as he never came on. An extra foward to spell and who knows in a game of such fine margins.

Effort tonight was outstanding. Execution was an improvement on last week. However... once again we manage to concede after a last tackle kick on the opposition line. Once again, L. Smith somehow manages to kick dead from kick off (why not go for the sideline when we are losing?!). Mathers has a brainfart and knocks the ball dead with no-one within 10 metres of him. Take the two in teh first half when we're 20 metres out... that's just negative in my eyes.

Thaler:

- gives intentional knockdown in Leed's favour after wakey player commits to tackle and Leeds passer throws ball against him - gives Leeds the decision when it happens the other way around, also.

- Blatant shoulder charge before one of Leed's tries.

Can't blame him for the aforementioned brain farts though.

To waste an interchange on the worst player in the squad (lyne) is bad enough. To then not use said player especially with the reduced interchange in a tight energy saping game is ridiculous, I just can't get my head round it. Who knows what would have happened with a fresh Wildie or Annakin on. Then agar blames decision making for defeat you couldn't make it up.

Superb? The effort was definately but the lack of composure at crucial times and a lack of last tackle options meant the performance was far from it. Too many errors at vital times cost us dearly, things like the missed penalty, terrible kick from which jones-bishop scored, knock-ons at crucial times, especially Poores, kicking out on the full etc etc. Leeds were they for the taking again but we blew it. Decent showing yes but nowhere near superb.

In all fairness to Mathers the ball when kicked by Leeds hit Lee Smiths foot and Mathers saw that so tried to keep it in play, But I think the ball played the man so he should have just let it go, So no fault with Mathers on that one for me.

Would have put my house on Lee Smith kicking that penalty. He should have stood back and waited until Leeds players were stood under the sticks. At the time there was a 2 minute drinks break called. He'd no need to rush the kick. Thought he'd have had more experience in that situation.

Some dumb plays cost us points AGAIN. The Tim Smith grubber through that led to the full length try, the Lee Smith kick out on the full that led to a try, the Poore knock on from a forced pass that put Leeds a point up towards the end. All silly mistakes that cost us 18 points. All silly mistakes that could have been avoided.

Second to last try was a joke. Wakefield defender was clearly held back off the ball. Thaler the clown just nodded his head at the grounding and the linesmen agreed. Would be very surprised if that isn't an unanswered question on twitter 'ask the ref'.

Playing with 16 men against Leeds in 20+ degrees. SUICIDE. Only the coach can be accountable for that. Lyne has sat on the bench for 80 minutes. I don't even know where to begin with the sheer stupidity of such moronic coaching.

All in all a disappointing night and another one of those classic '2 points that got away' games. We really needed those 2 points. We'd have been 8th now and the whole league would have sat up and taken note.

Thalers inconsistency really frustrated me. Like when a Leeds player got taken out its a penalty but when Lee Smith did it was play on. I don't think we will get into the top 8 anyway because I don't think we'll have the bottle to beat Bradford or any of the other teams left to play.

Not sure whether you're a gloating Leeds fan or you genuinely think we lack class. I'll cater for both.
leeds have some superb players, from a set up that's a bit like a production line. Why? because they have money -simple as that. At Wakefield we have to work miracles to get what we get.
Now let's put it into perspective. We should have turned your 'class' team over last night. we matched you in every department so stick your class crap where the sun doesn't shine. We took some wrong decisions and you got some lucky breaks. That's how it goes.
I have to say that some teams don't know how to take it when they lose. I'm afraid a lot of Leeds' supports don't know how to act when they have won.
That's why the loiners are known and disliked the world over .End of.

Apart from Disallowing four Leeds tries, two very harsh, handing you the penalty count, and allowing you to keep 13 on the pitch when you should have been short, yep your right he gave you absolutely nothing

Agree on this think Thaler apologised after as mathers was looking for him to tell him if ball played man during play. He should have just let it go but Thalers lack of communication didn't help. When we scored the last try we should have shoved it up the jumper and then blasted the ball dead thus taking hall/bjb/hardaker out of the game as they would be only running at a set defense. Cockayne doing a drop off to washbrook at 100 mile an hour didn't help. A bit of smartness at times would have seen us home.

Our players are thick. Simple as. It's really boring too blaming the ref, yes he wasn't great but he certainly wasn't the reason we lost

The main difference for me yesterday was the kicking games, fair play to the wakey kickers on managing to find Ryan hall at every opportunity, next time try target the kid on debut.
