RA is looking at the balance of the squad there are fans on here picking the team each week, well he's not getting a game because we have Aiton, we have Wildie who also plays that position. I wouldnt drop Aiton and hes not injured so there is no place for Ellis, hes cover live with it, he may have been Londons best player but it doesnt mean to say he's ours. Aiton has proved to be an astute signing and given the right blend around him and a bigger and better front row I am sure we have more to come. in the meantime Ellis loaned out is the right thing he gets game time and is available should we get any injuries. There is no loyalty in sport the best team should play and I dont see him in front of Aiton good move for me.

Agar plainly is loyal otherwise Mellars wouldn't keep getting a place in the team.

As for Ellis, for all we know he could be a better option than Aiton, I suspect he's a better option than Wood, but he's not been given chance.

Aiton has been good but we play with two hookers and from what Ellis showed at Barrow and then London Ellis is a better hooker than both Wildie and Wood, who i'd like to see given a chance at halfback. Still it's Agars choice and he'll live and die by his decisions.

Considering half back was Wilde and Woods first positions in the game you have room to move them and put Ellis at hooker. At least with the team performing so poorly, and John/Smith have hardly set the world on fire it was another option to try for a few games.

Agar has said before that he likes the loan system and doesn't like the U20s because it is a better way for the fringe players to get match ready.
He openly said he didn't feel players could step easily from U20 to first team easily.

Assuming Agar still wants him (which of course we don't know) Fev will be a good place to build fitness and confidence.

ellis will be stopping at fev next year, so i am told. fev is also losing 2 props , 1 to the army and one that we were looking at is going elsewhere, however we may have a french contingent in the front row next year and if we are going to bulk up the front row we had better get our skates on. a lot of the boys will be getting sorted out round about now
