A few years back I overlaid the LSV on the BV site. Three stand fit perfectly, the Western Terrace just need reducing in width. There is space to build something decent, main constraint will be funding.

In reality a new East stand/grand stand, a new meagre Western Terrace, a bit of tarting up to the north stand (re-concreting the steps so they’re actually straight, maybe have a greater depth between steps) and with a little bit of terrace along the front of the hospitality flats then I would be happy with that given where we are right now.

I wanted to move to Newmarket as i belived this would give us a future with some parity with the big clubs and possibly more investors but am equally happy if Belle Vue is developed. More than anything i am pleased to have a club and a ground so wherever that may be my support for this great club will continue.
This is the only way i can show my appreciation and support to all the people whose hard work and dedication has got us to where we are and long may they continue.

Quote: kinleycat "Indeed it does, but sometimes you have to roll with the punches.
Sometimes what you are promised and what you are given are two different things.
The way i see it is if we are getting something for nothing we can't be too choosey, if its NM fine if its a re-developed BV fine.
Time will tell what we get, but like i never banked on NM i wont hang my hat on us not getting a well re-developed either.'"

I disagree, the money legally pledged towards building a new stadium isnt and never was YCPs, it has been or will be obtained via the Newmarket development which only got planning permission because of the pledge to build the stadium, (S106) It therefore IMO is not even up for debate, this is stadium development money and always was because without the stadium element the money would not exist.

In terms of rolling with the punches, we've been knocked down, battered from pillar to post, done the rope a dope, been to Manilla, rumbled in the jungle, suffered a long count, gained lost and regained the eye of the tiger, been clubbed by Clubber, spanked by Apollo, brutalised by Ivan even Spiders had a pop at us.
It's about time we were able to shout "Yo Adrian We did it!"

Alternatively move the pitch 4m east, over the top of the terracing in front of the East stand.

In the meantime the rest of us will try and make the best of it.'"

You should stop having a go at people who have different views to you.

Remember my post when TRB announced he was joing the stadium team? I replied'No offence but to me this looks like official acknowledgement that nothing's going to happen here.

In my opinion if something was going to happen they would not let you two anywhere near it.

In my experience they only start letting people in when it's about to finish.

Fully expect you to be updating the forum on new other 'exciting' stadium options in the coming months.

It's just my opinion and no offence intended to the individuals who have and continue to work very hard for the greater good.

Hope you can achieve something.'[/i

To which you replied similar to as you have here'It's so easy to be a sideline cynic, this really sickening post from someone who's clearly created there own theory based on absolutely no knowledge of whats actually happening IMO.

Cynic's with theory's based on absolutely no knowledge of whats actually happening often get it right when it comes to Trinity, eh Vastman?

Quote: sandaltrinityfan "Wait and see time but there can be no more deserving fans for a new ground, than those at Wakefield.

A re-developed BV may provide the impetus for Wakefield Council to give Belle Vue a proper facelift as they have done in other parts of the City. It's a complete eyesore and an embarrassment to the City of Wakefield.

We live in hope but I for one am now totally sick of the whole thing. I just wish for once someone would come up with something which WILL happen, and WHEN it will happen and lets see some prompt progress!'"

Just one slight problem with relying on WMDC to supply funds for a face-lift to Belle vue (well 2 actually). Castleford Tigers and Featherstone Rovers.

The council don't have a pot to p in, so I think you can call off the pitch forks.

If there's a will, there'll be a way. I'm sure you will be needing some help from them for your new ground at somepoint, we wont moan, honestly!!

I suspect the reference to tidying up Belle Vue meant the area of the city called Belle Vue rather than the rugby ground called Belle Vue.

Thats the ideal plan, but you've got 3 fairly decent sized plots right there ££££££££

The obsessed are easily confused , Belle Vue and Agbrigg could do with some money spent on it, it's been a neglected area of the City for years
