Agreed mate. The joker reporting the game for League Express has the restarts 2-1 to Leeds. I maybe biased but I reckon it was 7-0.

Perhaps you could point out why it's obvious we are going to finish up in the bottom 4, especially having said you could see the improvement from last year, maybe when we get the other options fit and ready to play it might be more obvious that we won't be in the bottom 4, just voicing my opinion like BOJO.

Anyone who thinks they can accurately assess where we will finish it is deluding themselves and clearly hasn’t been paying attention these last 15-20 years. Nothing would surprise me (other than actually winning somet cos that’s the only consistent). We all have opinions on it I’m sure but we are so erratic not just from Season to season but game to game and minute to minute. It’s a rollercoaster ride!

Well now the dust has settled. I definitely feel that if we can keep a fit squad we will be competitive this season. Going away to Leeds is always a difficult game, and we didnt seem to get our share of the 50 50 calls.
I thought Lino looked like he fits in well and gave us a bit of composure, although he looked to tire in the last 15-20min.
Our edge defence still needs a lot of work.
We missed Jowitt and Wood as you would expect. Walker was reduced to just diving on the ground when he got the ball, just too light weight at the moment, and we missed the zip from acting half.
Our right side struggled to get any good ball because Leeds were really strong in the forwards down that side, so we didnt see much of Tanginoa or Lyne.
and How good was it to see our left edge back to full strength and firing, it seems like forever since they have all played.
Overall i thought we should have won the game but bombed too many chances.
Then there is Tom Johnstone! fantasic to see him back in that form after the injuries that he has had to come back from.

Millers like a headless chicken and fifita went well thank God I don't rely on your observations old lad miller worked his socks off fifita the biggest waste of money Wakefield's spent big useless comes to my mind

Are you that biased you have to say the Ref in the Cas V Wire match missed a lot or got things wrong and most against Wire !!!
Let's be fair Cas completely outplayed Warrington and should have won by even more points,the 1st try from Warrington should have been disallowed if he had gone to the screen as the players were 2 to 3 yards in front of the kicker !!!
You need to take more of an interest in our own club rather than seemimg very jealous of our rivals who once again seem to have got a squad capable of challenging at the top end of the table with the same resources that we have.

Like I said before I've followed trinity for over 50 years.
I joined as I have been stuck in like most other people and thought It would be a good place to talk rugby/put opinions across seen as we can't get to games anymore.
I'm guessing you are only wanted to post if you think we ayed brilliant/were unlucky Etc..
The truth is we lost to arguably the weakest team leeds will have out this season and Castleford were outstanding!!!
I shall know next time to only post if we win or blame the referee if we lose and make sure if Castleford do win to blame the Referee!!!

Trinhomeandaway like you I have watched Wakefield for over 50 years and a few more as well .The thing is you say it,as it is .Trouble with some on this forum is they looked at our players through rose tinted glasses ,instead of telling it as it is We are a S L club well run who can not complete with the big boys because we just spend to our limit not go millions in det chasing success .But I would not change a thing I am proud of this club .

Happyjack ,the reasons I think we will finish in bottom 4 is, we have got to play 4 teams that will be pushing for a finish in the top 6 .three times.As for improvement we were playing rugby ,and making overlaps on the wing ,instead of the 5 drives and a kick .We were running with our heads up looking for players .There is loads of work to do .We have got to stop wasting chances,we could \should have had 3 trys in the second half .We have got to cut out the mistakes when we have the ball .We have got to move the ball away faster from the play the ball ,some times the ball was aimed at the floor instead of man. 3 times in the second half Lynn was behind the play the ball even thought we had the two hookers on the field .We just do not react fast enough As I say lot of work to do

In my opinion although Leeds were under strength in the backs, thats was pretty much their first choice pack.
Lets not forget Wakefield were missing at least 3 players that would likely be in the 1st 17 Jowiit/Battye/Wood.

A few less brain farts in defence and a bit more savvy in attack and we’d have come away with the points of that I’m pretty sure .I’m sure the coaches will be working on a few areas that we need to tidy up ,but for me I was happy with the performance for a first game .Sure I was miffed when Walker was carried back over the line and then later was bundled out of the way for Dwyer to go over, Tupou’s break should have resulted in a try if timing was better,senior was unlucky to get pulled for a Forward pass as I’m pretty sure he’d have made the line ,but I’m glad that we are talking about fine margins and not a shellacking like we’ve all witnessed over the years when the opposition get their noses in front .Bit more oomph in the forwards and a bit more guile in the backs and we are a match for anyone from what I’ve watched over the weekend .Consistency is the key to our success ,let’s hope we find it over the next few games and have a cracker of a season .

Whilst we were missing 3 players as you say possibly on wood would make the starting 13 (who are you dropping for Jowett and Battye)
Whilst jowit is ok hes not getting in front of Walker and Battle whlust he gives 100% hes a championship prop at best

Whilst their pack is/was probably their strongest they will get this year (unless they sign)
They had 5 out of 7 backs missing that would have 100% started.
To lose your superstar fullback,both centres,last seasons leading try scorer and your stand off obliterated their team
With this information Leeds had 40% of there strongest team missing and 72% of their backs missing
What we had possibly 1 player missing that would have started
Makes a huge difference,with there backs in place we definitely don't get the chances out wide like we did and under so much more pressure defensively against there strike players

Trinityhomeandaway Jowit as fought and got the number one shirt Walker was one of Mr Chester panic buys last season ,Chester as said that Battye is playing against Wigan .And K Wood is the only hooker with any idea how to move us forward .I've been acused of talking rubbish on hear ,but I think I can hand the mantle over to you
