No thanks. Lets try and do it slightly different.'"
Fair play, your relenting bitterness towards Hull KR is quite impressive, never known anyone so spiteful but irrelevant club wise (in rival terms) In equal measure.
Rovers haven't disregarded youth whatsoever in the present day, when it's starting point was and never has been shyed away from not great. It's going to take time.
Wakefield have produced some great youngsters, no problem praising where it's deserved.

I said they have risen attendances from 4-5k in a few years. I said I hope we can do exactly the same and raise ours.
You’ve taken the ball and ran off the pitch and out of the stadium with it.
The youth side of things in terms of impact on club performance, growth and other metrics is another topic entirely in itself.

Not that I’m wanting to fan any fires but I do have one genuine question.
Didn’t Hull and KR both have a joint academy/scholarship a few years ago? Is that still the case and do you think that negatively or positively impacted either teams or has it created a player generation gap for either team?
Be interesting to see how a KR fan would view that. Im guessing KR now have their own academy and scholarship.
Apologies if im wrong about this as I genuinely aren’t sure what the current set up is.
Some fans push for joint academies or regional academies so be interesting to hear as this would be the closest as a test to that.

| HKR can pack as many into their ground as they like as long as they don't bring them to Wakefield!
All clubs have their problem supporters but from what I've seen of HKR they have taken the problem ones from there loving neighbours ( who I quite enjoy coming to wakefield)
That said, that's an excellent achievement selling so many ST'S and one which I'm sure we will be looking to aspire to.

I hope they do bring plenty of support and fill the away end. At Trinity there’s separation mostly so there shouldn’t be much of an issue. I can’t recall any issues when KR brought support previously and I think it will really add to the atmosphere when big away support comes to Belle Vue.

Agree, the KR fans in my experience - I have never had a problem with and have been much better than FC's.....
They seem to like to fight amongst themselves first as a warm up before having a pop at the opposition fans....

It was a bit of a joke, but actually I do remember incidents with HKR supporters (some of them!)
And even the last time we played them!

Well I suppose it depends where you stand and what you see. We all have our opinions but mine is the complete opposite to yours! Give me Hull FC fans anyday!

There was no trouble at Belle Vue, the last time we played them. Our fate had been confirmed the week previously at Leigh, and do recall seeing comments on SM by Hull KR fans, to be respectful towards us, and reminded fellow supporters of their fate in 2016.
I also recall a certain section of the RWB Army page mentioning a protest at this game, featuring of all things, tennis balls.
Which of those two paragraphs is most likely to cause trouble.
At the end of the day, all clubs have a small pocket of fans, who, once they get a drink inside, can cause bother, we have them too.

Oh right! I must have dreamed what saw and heard
I'm not saying a major battle took place but there was an element of drunk affected supporters looking to cause trouble near to where I was stood and some of them forced past me in no uncertain way mouthing off.
But I have seen worse in previous games going back over the years. Like I said before, depends where you stand as to what you see.

| In answer to the earlier question, Hull and Hull Kr used to share an Academy for a short period of time. IIRC had an alternative pick system. I think Rovers gained Mikey Lewis from that process, even though he’s a lifelong Hull fan.
The joint Academy split a few years ago. Hull have invested heavily since and have started to see several players come through into the first team last season. Rovers have invested less in their Academy.
As for the ticket allocations, away allocations at Rovers have always been poor. Hull only get the 816 tickets too. Rovers are already complaining about only getting 4,000 tickets for this coming season’s Good Friday Derby. They got 6,000 two seasons ago, but some of their fans threw bottles at the Hull fans, so the allocation was reduced on safety grounds.
Their season ticket sales are impressive, however are primarily driven by their limited capacity. They now have rich owners who could afford to expand NCP with two much needed West and South stands. I think they have held back to maximise their IMG points on crowd utilisation, which is a shame as a 3-4k South Stand for away fans would make a better atmosphere and experience for away fans.
Good luck for your season and I look forward to my annual trip with Hull to BV. Your ground improvements are looking good!

| Have to be honest have always thought KR treated away fans badly, for long enough we were stuck down behind the sticks near the humber, then there was the aggressive stuarting from some of their staff at that time.
Nevertheless the worst behaviour Ive seen actually came from the wakefield fans a couple of years ago when a couple of banned individuals turned up and were slung out for their trouble
