I think they were talking about letting people join online but if they haven't sent details with invite they probably found that a bit too much to arrange.
It's not so much the technology which is easy enough, but taking questions from zoom or teams would be difficult to manage in the room.
Happy to take some (sensible) questions forward if there are things you want to know.

I was more interested in what the strategy was moving forward with the money people have invested, and how it will be spent. I’m quite sure this will be covered . I may still try to attend pop tart but a question that could be asked would be ….. do the club have any plans/ideas for trying to attract kids/juniors to games?
I’m sure there will be plenty of questions being asked on the night so don’t expect mine to be a priority. |

Michael and I are looking forward to seeing many of you at our first Member Shareholders’ meeting tomorrow evening between 6 and 8pm in the Legends Bar at Belle Vue. Around 20 of you have indicated you will be attending in person – others are very welcome if you can make it.
For those unable to make the meeting in person, I have attached below a link to a Teams meeting.

This will become live at 6pm tomorrow and you will be admitted to the meeting. Hopefully you will be able to hear what is going on in the meeting remotely although I think it will be very difficult for you to actively participate. We are however happy to address any specific questions you may like to send over – please just reply to this email.
In the two hours we have set aside, I will firstly give an update on the club’s strategy with a particular focus on the stadium redevelopment. Michael and Mark Applegarth will then lead a discussion on on-field matters

They said there were 6 on at the beginning. Must have locked it.
They were a bit nervous after the link being posted.

There was no compulsion, expectation or requirement on the club to facilitate your virtual attendance.
If it was offered, it was through good will, nothing more.

Apologies if I made an error by posting the link, I rightly or wrongly assumed only those share holders would have been able to access the link with confirmation through their email address. Just recently got home from the meeting. Covered quite a bit about the building work, a few problems with delivery of materials delaying the work, outlined the way for the girder signing, time scale for getting some fans sitting in the new stand before completion of the stand, explained the phase 2 development of community hub, discussions with IMG, other topics on West Terrace, discussions with the WAFC bosses on all aspects of stadium use, I’m sure I’ve missed a bit out at this moment. Mark A spoke about the recent Hull game, surprisingly a lot of positives from that game and the young lads who played. Also mentioned the injury’s to the 2 forwards.
Sorry I can’t give details of the above, but it was a share holder meeting, and rightly or wrongly the discussion is confidential. |

I couldn’t attend the meeting last night but managed to log on. Unfortunately the sound was poor, but I managed to hear some of what was happening…
I agree though… I think from now on it should be attendance only, and I’ll just have to make time to get there…
There are people who have shares who live further away than ido and it would be good if the could be updated with what happened if the club decided not to stream it in future. It’s a private meeting and really nobody should be blabbing off details..
John Minards did most of the talking last night but by the time MA swapped places with him I couldn’t hear anything so logged out… if anyone wants to PM me what was said I’d be grateful..
I’ll be attending the next meeting in person from now on.. |

I don’t there’s much to worry about with teams meetings… if it’s not an ‘invite’ meeting where attendees are automatically logged on … you have to be admitted by the meeting organiser (some systems other invited attendees can admit, but this can be locked off)
You can’t just ‘log on’ and join
I think it was well explained that there were ‘member shares’ benefits and the rest of us fans have to accept that! I liken it to a rewards club with a high street store… where the more you spend the bigger the benefits!
I hope to join the members club soon … but I might find attending in person a little tricky!
