| If we had unlimmited money, I'd rather be at Newmarket.
More potential there in my opinion
Belle Vue is a great "iconic" sports stadium and I have 40 years of memories there but modern day requires modern solutions and car parking and entertainment facilities would be better at Newmarket imho.
I'd be happy with a redeveloped Belle Vue, but I would feel like the effort put in for a number of years now will be wasted if we settle for less, which a painted up Belle Vue would be.

With your attitude no - anyone can moan and be negative it's the easy option.
In the meantime the rest of us will try and make the best of it.

Why do you think that?
A totaly redeveloped BV is as good as NM. I can see that things like Conference centre, Back Stage Academy and various other educational projects and therefore some other income streams might not be as good as being at NM, but not how we would fail to attract sponsorship and other investment.
A well thought out redevelopment using all the land and backed by the developer (who is still bound by the 106 agreement, even if not by the NM site) and other parties could offer as good a ground as NM would have.
I'm more optimistic this will happen than i ever have been by NM etc.

| So, at this moment in time is this just the WE getting a good story out, or is it official? Because as of 11am this morning there is no mention on the official Trinity website.

I agree with this, but only IF, and lets be honest its a big IF, Belle Vue is TOTALLY redeveloped.

| We will have to wait and see the details. I was never a Newmarket fan and the thought of developing b v interests me. However can you bring an all singing and dancing stadium to that location, I'm not sure. I have had some great times at b v and it will always have a place in my soul, I just hope things work out. It all depends on the details.

| I thought one of the main reasons leaving Bellle Vue was the tons of rent we get charged because we don't own the ground. Developing Belle Vue is fine but the council should help the Citys Premier club buy it back and pass the planning permission on the ground as a matter of priority! York Court need to give us some money to do this. I have fallen out with residents down there over this they have got what they want i.e. a money making development for their selves.
WE BETTER NOT BE LEFT WITH NOTHING!

| Buy the ground back and redevelop including superbowl and develop the old power station for car parking.

Wait and see time but there can be no more deserving fans for a new ground, than those at Wakefield.
A re-developed BV may provide the impetus for Wakefield Council to give Belle Vue a proper facelift as they have done in other parts of the City. It's a complete eyesore and an embarrassment to the City of Wakefield.
We live in hope but I for one am now totally sick of the whole thing. I just wish for once someone would come up with something which WILL happen, and WHEN it will happen and lets see some prompt progress!

When you're spending someone elses money you can't have that.
Our best bet is if the funds from the council and York Court could be put straight into the clubs funds, then we could start as and when the relevent beurocratic hurdles were satisfied.
We then get what we deliver, when we can deliver it.

All of which sounds a long way from a brand spanking new 12,000 possibly 15,000 capacity stadium with seperate training facilities, hotel, fast food outlet etc etc
If, IF, [sizeIF[/size Belle Vue is totally redeveloped on all four sides and we get stands that are something more than elongated tin bus shelters then I'm delighted about it, we won't get anything close to that though!

True but I did put the word 'wish' not that I expect anything anymore in terms of new ground etc. In fact, sad though it is I really don't care anymore!

Indeed it does, but sometimes you have to roll with the punches.
Sometimes what you are promised and what you are given are two different things.
The way i see it is if we are getting something for nothing we can't be too choosey, if its NM fine if its a re-developed BV fine.
Time will tell what we get, but like i never banked on NM i wont hang my hat on us not getting a well re-developed either.
