Nothing against Cas they have their dream we have ours they always said GH was their stadium well thats how it is for me, no changing the goal posts now sayinmg its a community facility that was never on the script originally neither was inviting Wakey in.

As much as I admire him going out on the pitch, my gut feeling is that the announcement won't tell us much more then we already know. Can't see anything groundbreaking being said. Hope I'm wrong.

There's one thing for certain though mate, it'll be from his mouth and his mouth only whatever is said. None of this "my mate told me this" etc. You'll know where you stand on something (whatever it'll be) and will be able to write off/confirm a rumour and then at least we can discuss that subject.

I don't necessarily want groundbreaking - just honest; so long as he avoids Richard Wright style announcements about nothing at all and just tells us where we are, where we're going and how long it's going to take, I'll be happy. Just don't pi55 up our backs and tell us it's raining Ted; we hate that.

They have already said that it's going to be a significant announcement about the stadium.

To ensure that Wakey get a License next time they come for renewal they are likely to need a brand new stadium. However that would only be the case if all other clubs competing for a license were to get brand new stadiums. Clubs such as Bradford,Salford,Cas and yourselves dont have anything in place as yet as far as im aware (Salford being the most advanced) so if they didnt get a new stadium in time then would the RFL kick out all of those teams or would they just have to accept that there is going to be poor stadiums in Super League.

If all those clubs were to have plans set in stone in time for the new licenses would you refuse to ground share with Cas and be demoted to the Championship, or would you bite the bullet and accept that a stadium share would be the best for both teams as would allow you to get 1 very good stadium as apposed to 1 average stadium and 1 poor stadium. An all seater 15k stadium or a stadium like warringtons would surely be a boost for both clubs.
If the Cas 'Kop' and Wakefield 'Kop' are at opposite ends of the ground 1 paint black and orange the othe blue and white. I dont see the problem. It would secure the futures of both clubs and increase the chances of signing top qualty players.

I fully agree that there shouldnt be a merger and i would bet my life that it wouldnt happen at least not in the next 10years anyway. It was suggested at the start of SL and quite rightly dismissed.

We've never refused a groundshare with Cas, they have always been told that Newmarket would be open to all district sports teams.
What we will not do is move Wakefield Trinity to Castleford!

I can fully accept that Cas don't want to come on board at Newmarket as it means them moving out of Castleford, that is their choice and this is ours.
