| Smith had already said that he was leaving KR at the end of the season. So, it's fair to assume that he has something lined up.
Could he really make a difference short term ?
He is an excellent proven SL coach but, when he's moved, it has generally taken time for him to change things.
Equally, you could say that with a bigger spend a KR, the world hasn't exactly been set alight by their results.
Can you imagine how it would be on here if we had been well beaten in Toulouse, our game was certainly closer than theirs.
Lets see how we go with something close to a first 17 on the field, especially in the centres.

Trouble is, that seems a long way in the future.

Strange because you begrudge the club you claim to support almost anything. Maybe Hudds is more the club for you?

I wish you could make your mind up first it was Castleford and now it is Huddersfield. I wish Wakefield had a wealthy backer but clearly we do not nor have we been able to find one.
I think the fact that business people are willing to invest large sums of money into RL is good for the game, you just appear to want them to die for some macabre reason only best known to you, maybe jealousy.

| Why on earth would he come to us. First of all he has probably heard his brothers side of events and his experience at Wakey.
Secondly he would look at our squad, hear are board of ditectors pleading poverty and then ask himself is he really that desperate.
If he stsys in UK , i would think Leeds is the best guess

| Would have him here any day. If he brought their kid with him, all the better. Sorry to say that I just don't think Willie is quite up to it.

| I would love to see Trinity get a quality experience coach like Smith or McDermott
But why would either look at Trinity?
Poor squad no money poor stadium even with a new stand
It breaks my heart to see this club in the state that it is in.

I get your point but one is at Fev and one is out of work so not sure our poor income is as big an issue.
Still happy for Willie to continue though.

Wouldn't touch the fev one anyway Willie does deserve at least two seasons but at least give time a chance with some decent players instead of dead wood

| Just been watching an interview with Craig Harrison regarding new coaches coming in etc. Both Leeds and Warrington are ripping through their teams to get cap room for new players the coach wants, getting rid of players the coach sees won’t play regularly. Willie doesn’t have this luxury unfortunately, it is still Chester’s team, as Warringtons is still Prices team and Leeds is still Agars team. Willie needs a decent season to show us what he can do, if we survive this year, then with the likes of Batchelor, Miller etc more than likely going then it’ll give him the space to mould a team for himself.
