Think the try will have given him a real confidenve boost. He created it out of nothing and though the Catalans defence was poor, he literally created that out of nothing, lovely step to get past Henderson and then once he was in the open space there was only ever going to be one winner in the race to the line. Mariano showed great pace too for his first try and the ball steal was very smart play. George looks a lot more confident in himself and has kept up his remarkable scoring record, completed 2 full games now which is a boost as I've often thought of him as a bit soft. Last night will have given the squad and the club as a whole a massive boost and JK has just said on the radio that we're looking to strengthen the squad further in coming weeks so things definitely are looking a whole lot rosier.

From what I saw of the highlights last night,I thought Hyde had a good game, as well as Dean and Mariano, who looks a good prospect. I enjoyed the try at the start of the second half, that Dean scored in the corner, went through lots of hands with some quick sharp passing, leading to the score, very unwakey like, hopefully a sign of what's to come this season.

unwakey like??? most of these kids have been brought up in winning second teams... Wigan, Saints, Wire etc and will play without fear; thats what we should encourage!

McGoldrick has a lot of critics but also has a lot of fans (me being one of them), the sample fact of the matter is when fit he will be in the 17. Isa on the other hand is an unknown but when TM thinks he is ready will again be in the side (same as when Chase came over). We have Brett Ferress playing centre so it will be a straight change for Isa or McGoldrick in the starting line up. After the initial banter was over, majority of cas fans were quiet when other clubs were signing your players before AG took over, but here we go with your fans having a pop at us for being top of the league. It may not last but so what, but you don't need to worry about that................ Anybody saying that Huddersfield are a crap side........ no............thought not.

Really looking forward to this Sunday, some of our newbies look like absolute gems:

Penny - Hope this plenty more as to where is dancing feet came from
Mariano - Its frightning to see a forward of his size shift it like he can
Howarth & Johnson -Both blokes certainly put themselves about a fair amount last week.
Dean - Rated him even when at Saints we could well see some combination tries involving this lad this season.

The bottom line is, these youngsters don't seem to know the meaning of the word fear and if last week's performance in France is anything to go by, there seems to be lots to look forward to this year.

Add Paul Johnson to that list; he's a beast.

With a couple of shrewd signings we have the making of a decent side.
